Jim Nantz wants Tony Romo money

His pay should be determined by how much more value he brings than the next guy up. And for me, that number is $0 for Nantz. There is not a single sporting event that I tune into because Nantz is on the call.
You all are just wrong about the great Jim Nantz. Some of my favorite UK memories were narrated by him.
As long as it's not Billy Packer, I really don't care who calls a game.
I'm not opposed to a guy getting what he gets. If someone is willing to pay it, so be it. As others have said, I'm not tuning in to see him or Romo. If the game interests me, I'm watching. No announcing team is going to draw me to the game.
Tell Nantz to go F himself and hire Gus Johnson. Problem solved.
He's been there forever and does all their marquee events, if Romo is making more than him I actually would find that a bit insulting if I were him

Mike Tirico and Nantz are two of the best. What is wrong with you people spewing hate? Both of this guys are consummate professionals and truly nice people which there seems to be a shortage of anymore. Nantz should make way more than Romo. He does different sports and is good at all of them. Same with Tirico. Shocked by the venom here. But then again maybe not.
It was so great at least hearing him a little at the Masters.
It’s going to be sad when the SEC on CBS is no longer.
CBS raped the SEC all these years money wise, but if I was in Birmingham, I would have taken the tad less CBS was offering for the new deal to keep it alive.
Romo is fantastic on the call and adds a lot of very informative insight into play calls and things of the such
Nantz and Romo have different roles. Nantz needs to compare himself to Buck and Tirico, not Romo.
I'm tired of Nantz's "Let me insist on putting some stupid slogan at the end of a sporting event" approach to everything he calls.
I've never tuned into any sporting event because of the announcer.
Yeah, but there are some announcers that make me want to change the channel.
Nantz is OK. Not my favorite. I believe he coined the phrase "Comeback Cats" back in the '98 tourney and had some good calls: "Turner. Burner! And One!!!"
He's best at golf but even there comes across a bit overbearing and verbose at times. The best announcers know when words aren't needed.

Nantz is very good but he’s not as good at play-by-play as Romo is at analysis.
No Neutrality, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I happen to think you are way off on Tirico. There is nothing to dislike about him.

Cheated on his old wife and is now married to her (26 years younger). I'm not perfect by any means, but I do find that scum behavior. Get divorced first instead of cheating. Just my opinion. I think people that cheat at anything are chumps.
