I read this morning that Brumbaugh is a candidate to join the staff at UGA. Anyone else hear/read this?
I have tried to explain over and over how good Brumbaugh is at developing D-linemen.It can't be true, he's terrible from what I hear on this board...and you guys know who you are...

Fortunately for some of the current group of players, some NFL scouts have.I haven't seen much in the way of development with this current group of players.
if someone should know it would be you... if you say he's okay then i'm good with that...I have tried to explain over and over how good Brumbaugh is at developing D-linemen.
BOOM!! And I KNOW this poster has first hand knowledge.Fortunately for some of the current group of players, some NFL scouts have.
I'll say again...Brumbaugh's been here 3 years and will soon have 4 DL in the NFL. That's good, I don't care who you are.
Think it may be South Carolina's that making the strong run at him. They may soon have Brumbaugh AND Kobe Smith.
I sure hope not and also wish the best if he decides to leave. Give credit to CMS for giving Brumbaugh an opportunity and trust that if necessary, he will replace Brumbaugh with someone fully capable of continuing the development of the D-Line unit.I'll say again...Brumbaugh's been here 3 years and will soon have 4 DL in the NFL. So we have a parent of a kid who actually plays and coached by Brumbaugh, yet you think you know more than he and the pro scouts? Gotcha!!Hear!!!!
I'll just say if UGA is having to settle for guys like him to fill out their staff, the SECE is about to get weaker - which I really didn't think was possible.
UGA or USClite?
I asked a similar question in the Smith thread, but got no response.
Hear!!!!

Thanks ,I was afraid ,I like your posts and didn't want to hurt you. I like that show, my wife and I both watched a Christmas show last night with andy .we are Christians and its getting harder to find any thing decent to watch.First, I'm past the wupping stage.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Secondly, not a biggie. Sometimes I can't see straight with glasses.
Mr Schwump was a character on The Andy Griffith Show, I stole my user name from him.

I am pretty sure UGA isn't looking for a DL coach, Rocker is returning as our DL coach. Only position we have left is DC, who could be named from one of the current coaches and ILB coach, on the D side of the ball.

Yeah that was my mistake. It was South Carolina but according to their board, they have moved on from Brambaugh.

Given that, who would you rather have as the d-line coach - Brumbaugh or Turner?
Brumbaugh by a mile.
Based on what? You do realize that Turner is about to see his 6th player to go to the NFL during his stint at MSU. And that's not counting the players who he's coached at his 6 other P5 stops that have made NFL rosters - including Dupree and Rumph at UK.
So given that metric, what makes Brumbaugh so much better?
Ask Dupree and I think that you'd get your answer. Not to mention that Braumbaugh seems to be on the same page with Eliot.

Turner didn't do jack-squat when he was on Joker's staff. I was surprised that Mullen brought him onto his staff. I hate to say it, but he's done a pretty good job for them.
He's done a good job everywhere he's been. I hated to see him leave.
I stand by my statement that his tenure at UK was unremarkable.

And I stand by the endorsement made by one of his former players at UK.
