I don't know if anyone's been following but JJ has turned into a legit NBA baller. He's leading the league in 3 point percentage at 47.9% last time I checked (that's right, higher % than Steph Curry 3s) and last night he hit the game winning buzzer beater to beat Portland. It would be nice to go back in time and show this to all the douchebags that told me that JJ wouldn't be anything in the NBA.

Pretty good for just a role player who had limited years in the NBA but not every college player can expect a career like Kendal "Butter" Marshall who already is one of the 50 greatest NBA players of all time. I really wish I could remember which THR poster quoted that back when he was at UNC. OFC

And just a side note..

JJ, Austin Rivers, Gerald Henderson, & Mason Plumlee all played about 25 minutes each in that game.

J.J. is having a fantastic season. At 32 years old, he's no spring chicken in the NBA, either. Hard to believe he's been gone 10 years already.

What's amazing is that Orlando could not figure out how to utilize him, it's a wonder they have struggled since Shaq and penny left.

JJ has consistently improved his game. He got off to a rocky start on a team that didn't know how to use his skills and he needed to develop a defensive presence.

He has had a fantastic work ethic and as I've watched him this year - he's playing at the peak of his career right now. Really proud of his work ethic.

Someone mentioned JJ being interviewed on the Dan Patrick show so I had to listen to it. There's the Duke villain thing he talks about of course, but he also talks about his midrange shot which he says still isn't where he wants it to be. It's amazing, as great of a shooter he is and he's still not satisfied with his shot. Here's the interview:
