Per 247 article. Coming down to us and Syracuse. They’re pushing the fact the idea that they will use him at both PG and SG, and we already have our SG commit in 2022 and trying to use Foster commitment against us. We got the last visit but he went there twice. Be interesting to see how this plays out.

Read elsewhere he likes Duke but is concerned about playing time so he's likely going Cuse or ND.

Well, frankly, if a guy is afraid to compete for PT with other guys who are not top 20 recruits, then maybe he would be happier somewhere else.

That's pretty much how I feel. You want to compete with other studs at the preeminent program of the last 30 years or do you want something easier?

Well due to our large number of transfers quite a few of our guys feel that way. 4 in the last several months.:)

He supposedly was the best player at the Wootten Camp down in Texas last week and will likely get bumped up to being either the 1st or 2nd ranked PG. Don’t think he’s worried as much about Schutt as he may be about the potential of Foster reclassifying.

Hope he ends up at Duke which would allow Foster to stay in the 2023 class, which would help us land guys like Mgbako and JJ Taylor. Would give us at least 3 of the top 10 players in the 2023 class.

I hope he does as well partially for the same reason. Never been a huge fan of guys coming early. Hasn’t really worked out that well in the past. Either way, would love to land him.

Unless Duke has a transfer or two players leave early to the league. Duke will have Roach, Blake (pg), Keels, Moore and Schutt at sg . Not to Mention Duke also has Whitehead and still recruiting Mitchell. Whitehead can shift to sg. That’s a log Jam and could be the reason Starling is looking else where. Even if Roach, Keels and Moore bolt for the league ( unlikely all three go) Duke is still loaded at the sg spot . Then yes there is also the rumors of Foster possibly a reclass.

Sounds like you think Duke is backing off Starling.?.?

We would be lucky to get one of Moore/Keels back.
If neither is a first rounder. Both could earn more potentially in college then they could as a second rounder . For Moore it’s going to take him putting it all together on both sides of the ball. Rebounding , Defense and scoring from inside out. Keels is going to need to tone down and show he can guard NBA sg’s . It’s not out the question that both could return .

How? It’s more like starling could see the loaded back court and the interchangeable parts. Don’t forget with NIL it could keep more players staying put just for the money they can make. Starling just could simply see his playing time being limited at Duke .
Very good point.

It is ND. Hopefully NIL is a game changer. Considering we lost 7 of our 11 guys last year you guys are awfully optimistic that our backcourt returns.

As good as Starling is, I bet Schutt ends up being ranked close to what Starling is ranked and their skills overlap.

Starling is a combo . Duke always does better with a pure pg. I see Roach returning and one of Keels or Moore. Let’s not also forget the transfer portal and Duke still has Blake’s . I don’t think starling was a big miss. Mitchell if he comes will be the missing piece but just like transfers the NIL will play a big role in college choices for recruits.
