Valarie Allman seems to be coming into form or us in the discus and also won the gold at this meet. Don't know know how Raven Saunders did.
It's been interesting to see the discus develop into an event where many of the top throwers look like power forwards instead of stalwarts of the o-line. I'm guessing that those long limbs are an advantage when slinging the discus.
