It’s starting to look like Pope’s entire career at Kentucky might depend on getting Stokes.
Basically say the Kansas buzz is real and that they are winning, and will land him if they can navigate the Nike to Addias stuff. That the way KY has played this season is also affecting his decision.
Kansas looks like it will be loaded after this season's weak group.. I wish we could say the same.
With Pope back, Kansas is going to get a sizable lead on Kentucky in the all-time wins department.
Imagine defending bringing Pope back for next year knowing we’re f-ing doomed if we do.
Yeah they have a really good class already and he would put them over the top.
Such a bummer man. Looked like Stokes was a lock and then Collins was a lock at different points. If Collins or Stokes was signed you might be able to convince me to bring Pope back for another season.
Then there is no chance Pope is ever successful at Kentucky.
Fun fact nike summit posted their 15 man roster for the summer thing, and we led for/had a crystal ball for 4 out of the 15 players

I can’t blame him. Peterson at Kansas is killing it, Stokes knows he will at least be used properly. He’s not a shooter and this year is proving that Pope can’t coach non shooters.
This is another reason why you can't say "this is just one bad year for Pope". He isn't exactly a popular coach, and the perception seems to be getting worse. JMI might also be a major problem, but if that's the case then we absolutely have no choice but to hire a better recruiter to offset some of that.

What kills me is all the other blue bloods seem to not ever fall off. They might have a bad year or two maybe… I don’t see any of them going on ten year droughts.
This is just the down period as a program. Gotta stick it out we will be back. Hopefully. They said NIL was a new era. Don’t matter what we did 50 years ago. Either get with the new ways or get left behind. Seems we are being left behind.

How many crystal balls and Dilly predictions have been right on basically every other recruit and school except Kentucky under Pope? Like what the heck is going on that they’re right on everyone but Kentucky?

He should love to come to UK, nobody on this team can get a shot. He will be the best player we have and could put up 15 shots a game. Plus we will pay anything to get him.
I meant high school recruits. But it’s hard seeing us pick up many guys in the portal. At the very least Pope is gonna be bargain hunting because that NIL bag is gonna be squeezed shut.
LOL. Cal's offense SUCKED the past five years, the only reason they did better is the talent was better, the athleticism was better and Cal wasn't as soft-hearted as Pope. When you are struggling EXTREMELY and it's looking like your job is on the line and that you completely whiffed on acquiring talented players and are stuck with overpaid role players AND you don't go out and land the top NIKE athlete and let him go to an adidas school like Kansas. YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE ASSIGNMENT. F.
