He makes Rick Barnes look like John Wooden

that dude is horrible but because he is going to have LSU in the top 10 for years to come it is say in his job.

As I said in another thread, LSU will have the talent next year but won't do much because of coaching.

Just because LSU is going to have talent certainly doesn't mean they'll sniff the Top 10. Coaching means something.

The last part of this game has been a pathetic display for LSU to say the least. Both from coaching and player standpoint.

There is nothing that suggests LSU will be a top ten team for years to come. Next year? Maybe, but given Jones' clear lack of coaching ability that's far from a guarantee.

I hope Malik Newman actually watches LSU play and see how pathetic they are coached and not base his decision on being buddies with Blakeney or Simmons. Some of these coaches are like magicians and make players disappear like Bill Self with Cliff Alexander or Josh Pastner with any player. Coaching matters and we have the best!

I honestly can't believe he has a coaching job anywhere in a major conference. Just really bad.

Amazing how he let his team get away from feeding Martin at the end. Auburn couldn't stop him.

I've seen LSU in person, and on tv many times. It really is shocking how little he knows about the game. Basic elementary coaching decisions that he screws up shocks me. And his players look like they have very little fundamentals. Not a lot of coaching going on there

BINGO !!!!!! I was thinking the exact same thing. It was .... inexplicable. Nice pickup, brian ! How in the hell Jones went away from the main man ... I ... just can't figure it out. Hopefully Malik saw it and will be thinking the same thing.

One can only hope that Malik can see that -- while it might be nice to play with Simmons and Blakeney -- they have no chance to compete for the NCAA Championship with Johnny Jones as the coach.

And ... it might be even harder for Malik to realize this ... U.K. is always going to have 8-10 guys that are on the same level as their 3 guys. Just sayin'.

Just MHO, of course.
