One of my favorite players on this roster. Sorry though, JOJO. You don't get it. Most fan bases would have checked out long ago and the stands would have been empty, anyway. Be thankful that you had full stands at the START of the game. You might want to call out some of your teammates....not the fans.

Go watch some film from when we were worth a damn. Then you'll understand the point of view of lifelong fans. This version of Husker football is beyond Beta in comparison.

I’m not going to hate on JoJo. While his frustration is misplaced, he came back and plays his *** off everyday. He’s hurting as bad as anyone, it’s just hard to have perspective from the inside sometimes.

Jojo can say what he wants. He's balling out every play. He doesn't understand because he wasn't alive when we were great. He's also 21-22 years old, and doesn't yet have the wisdom that fans can love the team and criticize its leadership with the same passion. If you are offended by Jojo's take, then maybe you are just as "woke" as some of Jojo's age demographic. You were probably offended when Steve Octavien said something similar in 2007. It's not a big deal, these player's takes. The Nebraska football program's necessity as an economic driver in this state is a far greater concern going forward.

Players tend to adopt the mentality of their coaches. Our golden boy Scott doesn't care for those that worship him. I'm not surprised players are now saying these things.

I won’t hate on players, but I’ll just say you get 1 point for talking and 9 for doing. You are your record and that is the easiest way to change perceptions.

Love JoJo, but we are here because of Scott Frost. We've been patient.

Nope, we're not.

I'm only tuning into the games for players like JoJo (Mike Riley recruit), Damion Daniels (Mike Riley recruit), and the other guys playing hard every week.

Lots of guys are playing hard. Your correlation is weak af. The team lacks leadership. Frost and AMart are clueless.

I am certainly not hating on JoJo with this statement. As I said, he is one of my favorite players on this roster. That is one of the young men that has played with ton of heart since he has been here. That being said, He certainly should understand why fans are no longer staying to the end. That is a stupid statement.

What correlation? I'm just saying we are not tuning into games because of Scott Frost or for Scott Frost or to see Scott Frost.

Sorry JoJo, but this is not the hill to die on. I am in awe of this fanbase. Filling up Memorial considering there really is no reason to do so is absolutely incredible. No other fanbase would do this, and I mean not one. And that is exactly why we need to make a significant move and hire a youngish, successful coach. Overpay for that coach. Success will pay for itself, 10 fold. Crazy that there were so many butts in the seats. These fans are putting their money on the line and begging for Frost to succeed, but he isn’t. Hope and want just isn’t enough.

Speaking of probabilities, you are "probably" a moron. Go back and read the post. I didn't criticize him, his play.....or even leadership. I said it is stupid to expect fans to sit through another meltdown, all the way to the final gun.

JoJo has been a warrior here. I don't want to see him being remembered for some comments like this, rather than his play on the field.

Nope, not a moron. Morons are neither eloquent writers or capable of narcissism. I've had both on lock for years. To your point, I should've given you more credit for the balance of your post, and generalized mine a bit more. There are certainly fans that will take his comment as a reason to vilify players. I'm glad you aren't one of them.

Great response. 👍 You get it. Remember McKeown? Certainly not the player JoJo has been, but man, he was roasted. I hate seeing that. I have always followed one major rule here....coaches and administration is/are open to criticism....players shouldn't be. Later.

Have him look at the stands in the st quarter of the Wisconsin vs Iowa game. Tons of empty seats. And quite a few at the end as well. Thats a team that was playing the #9 team in the country and had a great chance of winning.

Unfortunately I don't see the rest of our games being close to capacity. On opening shot of stadium at kickoff you could see several upper level seats available and 1-2 k in upper student section.

Not showing up and/or leaving VERY early is one of the most effective ways for the average Joe to convey their dissatisfaction to the powers that be. They see that and get scared fast as they see disappearing $$ signs which makes their job harder. It happened with Callahan, pelini and Riley AND it's just begun perhaps with Frost.

Saturday will be a very telling event in many ways. Will fans show up? Will this team fight or cash it in and shut it down?

We'll know at kickoff.....or perhaps sooner.

This is a great point. It's a hard pill to swallow, but I hope the players understand that stands becoming empty as another game becomes an obvious loss is not an indictment on the fans dissatisfaction with them as players, but a dissatisfaction with the status quo. I go back to the Osborne statement at the end of the Callahan era, something to the effect, "At some point you have to evaluate whether we just don't have good players or if it is a systemic issue. I believe we have good players, but for some reason, it isn't working." That is where we are at now. The stands are emptying because of a loss of confidence in SF as our HC, not because of the players. Frost is just flat out not putting them in the best position to succeed. Many of those fans recognize that and are tired of it.

It's Ohio State. It will sell out and be full at kickoff.

If this game goes like it's likely to go, though, with the kind of play we are currently seeing, place could be a ghost town by the second half kickoff

He cant call out his coaches or his fellow players, so it's all the fans fault they cant win a game. Fans eventually wont support losers.

my second favorite player on d, daniels is first cause he's a no nonsense plug in the middle.
I think jojo just vented a bit...which is ok, it's a tough situation cause it's tough to try to bail out martinez and co on the other side of the ball, and special teams, and frost from time to time.

as a fan on the net, decreeing run the ball every other post..I probably get a lot less affected by loses then him.
like the last 2 games I didn't even watch...I can't...but I have them on record and the popcorn ready..if we win..lol
