If you scroll to the end, "coaches to watch" it hammers Mike B our OC and says he pretty much blowed last year and awful this year and may make the hot seat list.

It is a fair assessment that we have a 4* SEC QB and a 5* Clemson QB, the 2 highest rated QBs ever at NU, and they haven’t really been developed. To be fair, McCall (who was good at developing, if not recruiting QBs) couldn’t get much out of Hunter in his year with him either, and Hilinski is still an incomplete grade. Moreover, transfers are inherently more likely to be the guys whose ratings were maybe overestimated.
But we certainly haven’t seen a dramatic jump in offensive production under Bajakian either.

JON is the Dusty Baker of college football

Terrible take. Dusty Baker took the Cubs to the NLCS and the Giants to the World Series. He made the All-Star team multiple times as a player. JON has been a failure at every stop where he was in charge. JON isn't in the same universe as Dusty.

Development depends on the players as well though.
Look at Peyton Ramsey, he was a 2-3 star recruit and look at what he became over 4 years at Indiana; continued the same excellence after he transferred here.

It's not at all clear that there's that much there for Hunter as it pertains to gameday or translating his abilities there.

Hilinski has looked pretty much exactly like what we expected when he transferred here; he played well against Nebraska for what that game was and looked like what we expected him to be.

And he has a legitimate shot this year.

Coach Jake is not the problem.
He has not been the solution either. He has been OK Less predictable and different than McCall (because they have not seen him?) but not really a world beater. If the D is there, that can be fine, but if not....

exactly why is Fitz doubling down in support of JON?

What recruit, other than 2 star, will want to come here and play for a puke defense?

Why does it take us years of beatings before we address the glaring problem. Catmantrue was right!

Fans wanna know

Where is it that he is doubling down on him? Unlikely to see him actually fired before end of the year but that does not mean that changes are not taking place. Doubling down would be more like extending him to a ten year guaranteed contract

Vouching for him. Blaming the offense. Fitz gets very defensive and may even start flipping out when asked about why the defense gave up 350 rushing yards to rutgers. Something tells me that having 5 DBs 10 yards off the ball, then taking one step back, is like 11 on 4 and begs for run.
11 on 4. 11 on 4.
Fitz wasnt a math student.
