Jordan Jones deserves the game ball today. He was one of the few bright points. A lot of hustle and tenacity out of him. He has a winners attitude.
Hes already my favorite player on the team.

He really stood out to me. He was playing his *** off. Too bad the rest of the Kotex squad didn't follow his lead.

It was obvious players quit . I want players that fight no matter what but you can't turn someone into that , they either are or aren't a fighter .

I guarantee you that UK wins that game if players put in the effort of Jordan Jones today.

No question about it....That is an average Florida team.

I think I said it in a thread earlier but he reminds me a lot of Woodyard. He might even be faster than Woodyard.

what were you watchin? Fl was 2 deep better at most every position, and much better coached.

I watched the game. UK has some talented players and we could have won that game if the players played hard with a purpose. The coaches obviously aren't motivating them or teaching them well.

I don't know whether Florida is average or not. I do know UK doesn't have a player who could start for Florida, and that's all that really matters.

Plain delusional...UK is poorly coached...but outside of Bomm, Juice, CB spots, Toth, Nick Haynes and Jordan Jones...we have no SEC legit players. DL and rest of OL are a pure joke talentwise.

What makes this even worse is the fact that he feels the NEED to expose his team mates for their lack of effort.

This goes back to Coach Stoops inability to inspire his team to play hard and continue to believe in his system. This tells me that there are players that have no respect for the coaching staff.

The beginning of the end.

That article says a lot. I can't think of a situation where a coach has lost a team this early in the season. Stoops didn't lose the team today; it happened last week.

The TD before half last week has changed the team. For the worst.

At the time it happened it was an insignificant play. We were still up 18 points at halftime and had the opportunity to adjust and keep scoring. If that one play forced the team to quit 2 quarters into a season, this team was not headed to a bowl game to being with. They would have wilted under the pressure of a grueling SEC schedule.

Mark Stoops is a pathetic non coach but I usually have trouble singling out one particular player but Jordon Jones stood out all day showing heart and he didn't have any quit in him whatsoever. I hate losing but if the whole team would have played with the heart he played with I could support them win or lose. The problem is that nobody played like they gave a damn other than that kid. Definitely my favorite player. A shame he has to play for Stoops and that inept group of zeros.

One silver lining of the misery of being a UK football fan is getting to eventually see our favorite players like Jones (just like Trevathan and Williamson and others) shine on Sundays, even if they never get to earn rewards like bowl games or top 25 rankings here.

I had a Basset Hound named freckles when I was a kid. Loved that dog. He was SO DAMN STUBBORN THOUGH. Dumb as rocks. You could beat the ish outa that dog for doing stupid sh&t and he would never learn his lesson. Parents ended up giving him away to a farm after by dad broke his foot trying to kick him in the ***. The dog must have seen it coming and moved at the right time, leaving dear old dads foot to be met with the brick wall.

I miss that dog.

I would have to think that they just don't respect Coach. It may even be that they truly dislike him on some level. That is the only way a team quits this early in a season. He has installed no confidence in the team.

I think that play has gotten in their heads. And the coaches have done nothing to help them. This team is mentally weak.

Not sure why they would let it get to them. Florida had a similar play today, just before the end of the 1st quarter.

If this team is mentally weak then it is not interested in getting to a bowl game.

Brother Mike Stoops is a respected defensive coordinator. He failed as a head coach at Arizona despite taking the program from the bottom of the Pac 12 to respectability.

He was a notable screamer and allegedly treated players with tough minded tactics. Eventually, he lost coaches and his job. Today he is defensive coordinator for brother Bob at OU. Arizona went on to continue as a competitive Pac 12 program largely because Mike Stoops left it with good players and recruits.

This may be the same scenario if Mark is terminated. The next coach would inherit a talented team and the best facilities anywhere.

However, can Mitch hire an experienced head coach who can resurrect this woeful program to be competitive in the SEC?
