Hate hearing this. I thought he had a tremendous career ahead of him until his injury. Even then, I was hoping he'd make a full recovery and be back to compete and make us better in the defensive backfield.

I wish him and all the guys who entered the transfer portal the best where ever they land.

I understand the transfer portal but I don’t like the message it sends.........being “I can quit if I’m not playing and play somewhere else. Why do all the work to actually make myself a better player?” It seems to cater to the whims of teenagers which is what’s been wrong with society for quite some time now.

On the flip side, a Coach can put a player into the transfer portal as well w/ a lot of pressure, forcing the hardwork, and then benching you. Thus forcing the desire to leave and hit the portal.

The portal was pretty much created for situations like what we have on defense right now. A new coach comes along and has a different philosophy about what kind of player he's seeking, and usually he didn't recruit you. So you can go searching.

As has been said elsewhere, most of these guys weren't playing much anyway. Unfortunately, Parker isn't one of them. He'd have had a great chance to be in the rotation next season, at least in nickle or dime in some situations if not more than that.
