Odd pickup, with Burris and Gilliam in the works. That or the coaches don't think we will get them.

Coe is tagged a 3-star recruit and is rated the third best JUCO DT tackle.
K-State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Arkansas and others were also after him.

LR hasn't acknowledge his commitment on Twitter. Everything about this, seems odd. But it's a powerhouse, Juco feeder. So they have to tread softly.

247 sports describes Coe as "elite"....FWIW.
I watched some video of him. His highlights show some rare quickness for 300 plus. But you wonder if he'll be strong enough.

Hard to imagine a three star guy as elite. He was two stars coming out of high school. But some guys change.

I read he grew a couple inches since HS

But he doesn’t currently hold an offer, so not sure if he’ll be a part of this class

247 shows him as a commit but Rivals does not

What matters most is what the coaching staff thinks of him.
Dillon Faamatau, also a 3-star JUCO DT in the 2017 class, was a decent contributor at OU.
247sports rates him among the top three JUCO DT's and a top 20 JUCO recruit overall.

I keep hearing from various places that he was a 2nd tier guy, who would have gotten an offer if two other guys ahead of him didn't come through. So he decided to publicly commit before he had a real offer.

If so, this makes that claims on TOS seem a little hollow about his status as "elite."

I'm only relaying what the article said about Coe being an elite talent or that he's among the top 3 JUCO defensive linemen.
Maybe you should consider calling Coach Riley to express your concerns about Coe.

I imagine Riley already has similar concerns
