Yes, and it was a bit hard to make out with the background noise. The German colonel (Peter Eck I believe) was telling him that England and America don't even have that many ships combined.

I got to meet a D-Day vet a few years ago. He was in his 90s but could still kick my *** pretty easily.

The Longest Day is a great movie. I saw it in the theater in 1962 when it first came out. Some of the actors had actually seen action during the Normandy Invasion such as Richard Todd and the British War Correspondent in the foxhole.
