Had a friend of the family from state college pass today. She was 100.
She and her husband owned wr hickey. I’m sure many here bought their beverages there for years.

Wow Hickey's were our neighbors while at PSU. We would do yard work and when needed Mr. Hickey would sell us some additional kegs after closing time on a Friday or Saturday evening...................

Yes. Actually hickey and abramson owned it. Hickey name came about due to a card game that hickey won. Abramson’s wife is the woman who passed recently,

I read in her obituary today that her parents were actors and played Bob and Emily Cratchit in a 1938 film version of A Christmas Carol. June played their daughter Becky, but did not get a film credit.
