Followed the game while waiting in an airport security line. Saw they were up 72-58 and was all smiles.

Pass through security and walk to my gate, check in and see the final: 80-79.

I have no idea what happened in those final minutes, sounds like a failed press break. But damn, what a waste of an outstanding bounceback performance from Law.

Like I said after Penn State: I am sad.

We had a few turnovers due to the press, but not enough to account for what happened. Iowa (and especially Bohannon) just started making contested three after contested three. Bohannon made all three of his threes in the final three minutes. The defense really wasn't that bad.

A true choke job. They really had to try hard to blow that lead in the last 4 minutes and they succeeded. Collins hasn't figured out how to break a press since he's been there.

We were in a position to win----missed the free throws, that's not on Collins . but on the players.

Just checking... Chris Collins is aware that the Cats are not in the Zion Williams sweepstakes, right? He can't dump his way into a lottery pick.

I've seen worse choke jobs with respect to free throws. Gaines made both free throws. Pardon made both ends of the 1-and-1. Iowa closed the gap while Northwestern was making its free throws. Turner's miss on the one-and-one was awful, and Law made one and missed one. But Northwestern made most of the free throws during the comeback. There were other factors at play. And horrible luck on the "kicked ball" that effectively gave Iowa time to draw up a play with 3 seconds left.

Must be bad advice from Daddy. He’s too busy consulting for that **** show a few miles south and lost his bearings...

There was some wide open stuff. There was a totally unguarded baseline layup that made it a 3-pt game.

Northwestern was so disoriented on offense. They could’ve benefited (maybe) from Greer in there, maybe. It was interesting that Taylor wasn’t in the backcourt to press-break - Law, Turner, and Gaines were the ballhandlers.

The worst possession was the one where they did nothing - and Vic took a left wing three.
