At this point, I would opine anywhere from 5th-7th. I think teams looking for a development prospect will be interested. No disrespect to Allar, but I don't think teams will scout him as someone who is going to jump in right away and be your franchise QB. I see him as the kind of prospect you choose when you have all your primary needs settled and you look for candidates that have potential but come with some question marks.

That is what I have read that pro scouts slot him. He is a day 3 pick.

One vote only...I can't read the coaching threads anymore.
I know, right?! I was on the verge of posting a new thread asking why a 1° temperature change on my thermostat results in the entire house feeling either too hot or too cold.

Completely off topic in light of what’s happening coach-wise, but it wouldn’t be inconsistent with the history of this board.

He will get a shot with someone. He does have talent, but it's arguably of the unpolished kind. Definitely needs polishing. Again, no disrespect to Allar. But I don't think anyone sees him as a day-one pick and probably not day two either.

IMO, his biggest drawback is his mental game. He wears his emotions on his sleeve - and it always seemed like he got down on himself and the offense when things were going bad.

Not to mention he has a track record of losing games in crunch time with a crucial INT.

Did some vote first or second round? That is too funny.

Ask yourself one question, if you are a fan of an NFL team needing a starting quarterback option. Would you want them to draft the kid?

QBs get a different set of draft rules. Based on what we have seen, day 3 for sure. Based on team needs, how many QBs go before him and who needs one, could be all over the place when someone picks him.

Don't confuse the vote with the opinion of the person casting it. I voted round 2 not because I think he's worth it, but because you can never underestimate how much the NFL values an arm like his. Someone always seems to take a risk on those QB's. Do I think they should? No. Do I think he might get drafted in the 2nd round? Yes.

Exactly the same for me. He will have a pro day and they will love his arm, size, etc. The worst two teams right now are the Titans and Giants, they supposedly have their QB's, that leaves the Saints and Raiders to trade up to #1 to get the pick of Mendoza/Moore/Simpson etc. The Jets, maybe the Steelers and who else need a QB though? There will be 4 or 5 QB taken in front of him but I could actually see a team trade up to get him late in round two if he wows at pro day

I would realistically you have Miami, NYJ, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, and Arizona as almost for sure teams. I would add New Orleans, Atlanta, and Carolina as maybe teams.

There is a lot of opportunity just depends on who comes out and what teams will lie to themselves that someone they draft will give them a better chance to win.

He’s probably a day 3 pick right now but once scouts get to see him work out again in the spring they’ll forget what they saw on the field and he’ll move up to 2nd or 3rd round.

I get where you’re coming from but Allar is a project at best. 4th round plus for a project. He has head issues and it interferes with his mechanics. Having parsons and Carter and watt run at you in the nfl is way harder than what he has seen in college.

Trust me, if it weren’t for Hack going in the 2nd, I would have voted for undrafted FA. I doubt he’ll ever have any impact in the NFL. I hope he can, but I don’t see it.

I voted 3rd or 4th, because of his size and arm strength that someone takes a shot. But I don't think 4 years of college tape lies. Far from "elite", but he made good money at college.

I voted 3rd or 4th round as well--having a competent OC and an offense suited to his strengths will help but he was never developed here per usual with us and QBs

My NFL squad doesn't need a starting QB, but if they did ... hells yeah. I'm not picking him to slot in as a fix from the jump, but there's oodles of talent there - you stash him and hope he pops, because he has an upper echelon ceiling.

He'll also have studs blocking for him, and superior offensive schemes to help him.

5th or 6th. He's too slow and I'm not talking about the way he runs. I'm talking about the way he sees the play unfold and makes decisions. The NFL game is so much faster. The only way he stands a chance is if he gets the coaching he never got in college. Then there is his habit of throwing behind receivers.
