Okafor's defense and FT shooting are just plain bad. OK, on defense, his size has been mildly effective at times, but in the NBA, he's not HUGE like he was for us.

I don't see Tyus's or Justise's stock rising anymore than current levels. If Jah came back and spent a ton of time working on defense and got his FTs up to 65%, he'd be a lock at #1. Right now, he has a very good shot at #1, but he's only a lock for top 3.

If I were a GM, I'd take Jah #1 and be fairly certain I could get his defense and shooting in order in 2 years. I don't think a guy like Towns will ever have the post game of Okafor (though he defense will be good from day 1). Keep in mind too that you can't double team in the NBA. Jah's speed in the iso. look will be more valuable at the next level than it was this year.

I've gotta think that whoever gets Okafor will be looking to grab Tyus too.

Jah is a top 3 pick no matter what. There was a better chance of Kyrie or Jabari staying than Jah.

Tyus is the only one that could stay & that's just because of his size.. But after sinning the N.C. & getting MOP, don't see him stating.

Fortunately for Okafor, and I guess not as much for us, they don't ever play defense in the NBA. Unless you're the spurs or something.

I don't see any of them staying either, but as close as the two and as much as they love being college kids, I could see where they would want to do it one more time, Justise on the other hand, his stock won't get any higher, I easily see him leaving. No matter what they brought us what we wanted and I love them for it and whether at Duke or NBA I will cheer for them.

There's more against Tyus at the next level than his size. His defense and lack of athleticism will be exposed. Not saying he can't overcome that, or that NBA GM's won't overlook that come draft time. Domination of the college game has never been a direct correlation to success in the NBA.

I'd love for Tyus to come back next year, but he's passing up on his dreams and a couple million dollars.

Okafor is the same player he was earlier in the year offensively. Well that is not true, he proved he can play decent defense in the tournament. He has a mid range game but in the college game there is not a ton of room to display it for a big man. In the NBA there is a ton. Something not too many are pointing out. In the NBA, there will be more space to operate in the post and he will be really good in that space. As he has proved time and time again this year. He is strong and is improving his conditioning. All these articles never point put that the kid is 19. Take a look at the player he was just last year. Okafor has improved A LOT since then. Why can't he continue to improve? Again, he is only 19.

I think the sky is the limit for him. I think he can improve tremendously, and that on top of how talented he is already. Tim Duncan wasn't Tim Duncan until his junior year, and he continued getting better throughout his career. He has a lot of Duncan and Olajawon in his game, and that's goes with him studying those two more than anyone. He already has great size and He has a frame to be able to add weight and muscle. Look at Shaquille O'Neal in college and it's night and day to Shaquille in the NBA. like previously stated, there will be more spacing in the NBA, and less double teams. Free throws and conditioning will be his biggest adjustment next year.

Realistically all three could use another year of college to fix some holes in their game, but you could say that for pretty much every 1 and done kid.

I would be VERY surprised if any of them came back next year. Especially now that they won a National Title. Okafor is gone, that was the deal since he signed here I think. Winslow's stock is very high, and now projected by many as a top 10 pick, and Tyus just got Final Four MVP.

Also, I don't think Tyus loves the idea of playing an entire college season without Okafor (and Winslow). Teams would key in on him, doubleteam him, and we won't have too many other legit scoring threats outside of Grayson.

Bill Simmons said today on The Herd that Winslow should be the number one pick. Its a perimeter league, and outside of Anthony Davis, all the stars are perimeter oriented.

It would be quite the turn of events if Winslow was taken before Okafor. Truth be told, I am not sure what I would do.

If he were 2 or 3 inches taller he'd be the #1 pick by a mile. Okafor would be #2 and he is unfairly downplayed but I understand the criticism. Also, I think the basketball culture today is much more favorable towards guards and wings than centers, of course the game is built more around those guys but also I think people just find guard and wing play to be much more exciting to watch than post play. Plus, people relate better with the shorter guys than they do with the 6'11+ guys.

I guess it depends on the teams needs drafting. Honestly, I think Winslow is going to be a great pro. Better than guys like Okafor, Towns and Mudiay? Not sure, but he has shown he can already take over game on both ends of the floor.

I hate Okafor's defense but he will rarely have to guard a guy like Frank in the league. He is a banger. Offensively he will be fine as there are too many tools in his shed for him not to be. He needs to work on his lift and continue to be stronger. That all being said I'm a Winslow guy and will be shocked if he doesn't play for 10+ years and make multiple All-Star teams

Winslow will be a VERY good pro, possibly all star level. But he is 6'6", and even though he is an athletic freak, there are a lot of elite wing athletes in the NBA, especially right now. So Justice will not be able to just overwhelm people with his raw physical skills as he did in college. He will have to develop that jumper to be elite.

I do see him going top 10. maybe top 5, but I would take Okafor over him any day. Okafor is a once a decade type talent IMO.

I agree with you guys. You can't come off a much better season than
this. While staying would let him learn more in a less stressful
environment, there's almost no chance it improves his draft status
without Winslow and Okafor and Cook to let him shine. Not saying he
won't be good. Might be a good bit better. But it simply won't show as
much. Which could actually hurt his draft status next year. Not to
mention normal concerns like injuries.

You can afford to give up $1.2 million (that's the number DraftExpress gives if he's picked #21) IF you are sure you'll rise in the draft enough to make up the difference in a couple of years. But with Okafor, Winslow and Cook gone, that's a dubious bet.

My question for you guys
is who plays point for Duke next year if T.Jones leaves? Grayson?
Several good players to chose from, but who has the PG chops? IIRC, there are no top PGs left in the 2015 class.

KT's defense was extremely overrated all year by the talking heads. The guy had another 7 footer beside him most of the time to help and he fouled at an alarmingly high rate for such a so called great defender.
