That’s what she said!I like his stroke quite a bit.
I am going to be very interested to see how Jasper Johnson fits into all this. He might be the sleeper stud we're all thinking he can be. Playing alongside all these other great guys should really help him shine, too. We shall see....I think Kam and Denzel are going to be better than expected
great to see you here !Here’s my thought process. Last year, with a first year coach, that, had to piece together a team quickly, made it to the second weekend of the tournament, for the first time in five years.
Now, he’s put together, a deep, and talented team, that he’ll have numerous options with. It
should be, not only exciting, but, a team that could, at least, get to the Final Four, for the first time in 11 years.
Pretty exciting.
Happy to be back posting. I got banned a few years ago, but, have always kept up on the board.
Thanks. Good to be back.great to see you here !
I think there's about a 0% chance Pope only relies on 7 primary guys. We're far too deep. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he runs almost a platoon type system. So if we get to a clear cut rotation of 7 players, who are they?
No way this team only plays 7 guys in a regular rotation. So if we get to a clear cut rotation of 7 players, who are they?

This would be my top 7 if we HAVE to cut the rotation to 7. But, if guys like the next 3 I listed don’t get regular, quality minutes, it’ll hurt future recruiting & I’d imagine that we’ll lose a few guys to the portal.
IMO, Potter looks like the only guy who might not see much time. Possibly Hawthorne, but, I’ve read that he has impressed this summer. I think Noah & Moreno get decent minutes when possible, but, not regular rotational minutes. I just see no way to play fewer than 10 guys, on a consistent basis, without ruffling some feathers. And, this is under the assumption that Jelavic is eventually cleared.

Yeah, like I said, I can’t see any way of playing fewer than 10 without causing some problems. Plus, we’d be crazy to not take advantage of the insane depth. We can afford to apply serious pressure, defensively, for 40 minutes & wear teams down like the 90s. I’m not saying we’ll press full court. But, the defensive intensity could still mirror that of the 90s. If we can be decent from 3, it’ll take Herculean efforts to beat us, IMO.Theres no way we go with 7. Were absolutely loaded.

Bench in order of min
Jasper (will be huge off the bench)
Kam (same as JJ)
Jelevic (who knows rn)
Garrison (could be a breakout player
Chandler
Hawthorne (he could be a surprise and take mins from Chandler.
Moreno (prolly play some mins early vs bad teams)
Noah (will barley play unless he goes off)
Porter (might get mins early vs bad teams)
I'm probably looking forward to seeing Williams as I am any of the players personally. I'll be looking to see what he's got as much as any early on
You are correct.10 plus are playing. And thinking the mountain Mamba isn't getting some run is just silly. Kid can shoot and he's tough. That plays. No way this team only plays 7 guys in a regular rotation.

All that while being hampered by injuries to key players! Here’s my thought process. Last year, with a first year coach, that, had to piece together a team quickly, made it to the second weekend of the tournament, for the first time in five years.
