Sams Club has the Vision B series kamado grill for half the price of a comparable BGE and it has favorable reviews everywhere I look. Think I might pull the trigger tomorrow and give it a try.

I'll give a legit response here. They perform on par with the BGE. I got one at Costco last year and have zero complaints with it. I've had people over who have a BGE and none have said anything negative about the food or the cooking process. It's basically the same product. It's like buying an Rtic cooler instead of a Yeti. Smart financial move.
It ended up just being a curb outside my door, really dodged a bullet thereTake pictures.

Dang it, I was hoping to use that in the Flat Earth thread. Waited too long again. That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.
Taste the meat not the heat.I'll tell ya wut. I only use propane and propane accessories
For the Do It your selfers.
Billy, if you are going to continue to post on Teh Paddock then you must purchase only the most expensive items regardless of the performance level of comparable products.

What if the plastic pot is coated with Line X?Please note: does not work with plastic pots

My high school trig teacher told us that dividing by zero effectively results in a very large, undefined large positive number, but I dunno.Pretty much like dividing by zero.
That thing's gonna spew like a volcano once it gets good n hot. Molten plastic ftw. What if the plastic pot is coated with Line X?
Listen to this guru. Following his advice you can have a brand new Akorn this year, and, a brand new Akorn every three years afterward. What a deal! Myself, as a bge owner, I will be stuck with both of my old eggs for the rest of my life.Buy a chargriller Akorn instead of being one of these bge elitist. Those fools think bge charcoal is different than any other lump charcoal.

Follow his advice about leasing a car as opposed to buying as well, dude's a Svengali when it comes to value decisions.
Buy a Weber Smoky Mountain to smoke with and a Weber to grill with

I wouldn't. I can't recommend the WSM enough.I have thought about getting a Weber grill and a 'smokenator' add on for it, instead of a separate Smokey Mountain.
I didn't pay anywhere near that amount. Your akorn is made of thin steel with some insulation in it. It will not last as long as an egg or any other ceramic smoker. As far as the charcoal goes, of course BGE recommends their charcoal. It is a pretty good charcoal, maybe not the best but definitely a long way from the worst. You gave away your knowledge level when you said all lump was the same.I've had my akorn for 4 years still going strong paid $300. You paid somewhere around $1200 for a grill with no shelves and they tell you to use their magical charcoal. Hmmm and as for leasing a car I have no idea wtf you're talking about and neither do you.

Hope your lease works out well for you.

If you don't have an official BGE, your food likely tastes like ****. Enjoy I guess.
Get a job, get a real grill, then you can post in future Catspaw grilling threads and not look like an amateur -- until then, please refrain from "contributing", b/c all you are doing is embarrassing yourself. :100points:
