Is there any interest from this kid for NU? Had a pool party yesterday and some friends from STL came over. We were talking Mizzou and Huskers & he brought up recruiting.

He said "my buddy teaches in STL and said huskers landed 2 commits already from his school for 2018" & that there are a bunch of underclassmen really high on NU too. Said its making him sick to see NU come in and be relevant again in STL.

At the time I paid it little attention that he said 2 commits from an STL HS. Was thinking he was talking about Brown & Goodrich. Forgot Goodrich is from Lee Summit. So was wondering if it could be Babb & Brown. Noticed 247 shows Babb a tOSU lean being recruited by good old Zach Smith and we are not even in the picture.

My buddy does not blow smoke. I will get more details on where in STL his buddy teaches and I am definitely sure he didn't say two from the state. They are from the part of MO that doesn't claim KC and its surrounding areas so he wouldn't be talking about a Lee Summit kid. (Just like my KC friends do not claim STL). Any ways, thought that was interesting. Also find it interesting since Riley always states there is a higher # of commits then what is known.

StL is a huge metro area that we should be cultivating. MU is struggling right now.

I stopped in at a Casino in Boone Missouri and talked to a Missouri fan and contributor and he really felt the racial issue of a couple of years ago was really hurting them. Unfortunately he blamed the issue on (he used the N word) them causing a lot of trouble. He thought their new man was good but it would take time. He said he pulled for Nebraska in the Big 10. I told him I missed the short trips to Columbia, Manhatten, Lawren ce and Ames.

There's some scuttlebutt that Babb is much higher on NU than he's letting on. What does that mean? 35% chance to NU instead of 10%? Whatever the case, he's still a long shot in my book, but it's nice to be in the race for possibly the best WR in the country. I would be more than happy to settle for Moore and Fuller though.

I would like to close the class with Kobe and Moore but JM is looking like a long shot at this point,

He was likely referring to Bryant (from 2016) and Brown.

Oh, and I'm sorry about your lot in life OP. Hang in there. You will get back on your feet soon, and no longer have to hang out in Hepatitis riddled pools for Section 8 housing complexes with Mizzou fans.

You don't need any more likes, but... :D

I am a believer that Moore has been playing with our emotions and is definitely not a lock, but there has been nothing that can call for a statement of "Joshua Moore is looking like a long shot at this point." Something that stands out to me is Florida State is just quietly lurking in the dark alley and is going creep up and snatch him. I believe there is a reason Steve Wiltfong has not swapped his prediction.

Babb for Moore, and Eric Fuller stays committed is my prediction

The staff isn't treating Fuller as committed. I had heard he wasn't responding. If they can get 2 yes's out of Babb and Moore, he probably won't have a choice.

Fuller is off the damn grid. Almost witness protection like levels.

My money says he ends up at USC or UCLA.

Ha. One can wish. Seem like I have too many Mizzou & Buckeye fans friends in my life.

I confirmed last night he was not talking about Bryant or any current huskers. Strictly current recruits.

Moore really wants to play with family and now that his cousin is at LSU I think he and Jordan eventually end up there.

Losing Babb would be a bummer for tOSU. He's THE #1 WR target on their board. But, I have read elsewhere that playing with his buddies is something he is strongly considering...FWIW...

Fuller's not the only flakey one out of this particular bunch.

I dont really know the reasons behind whats going on with Fuller but i dont even think it matters. It seems as though our coaches have moved on and are recruiting as if he isnt a commit. They arent doing this for no reason.

IMO as coaches they have to cover their own asses. IMO the coaches are doing just that. As much as i liked Fuller as a prospect when its time to move on you move on. WR is one of the few spots where I feel like we can get equal talent or possibly even upgrade. I wish Fuller the best. I also know enough about these things to know they didnt move on for no reason.

Care to share orr?????
I don't have anything specific. Just connecting a few dots on one of the top WR prospects not named Fuller. That said, running into some odds ducks, prima donnas, et al. goes with the territory when recruiting stud wide outs. We've seen it in recent years with Fitzpatrick and Calvin, and the NFL is teeming with flaky WRs.

Maybe the NCAA should institute an earlier signing period just for Wide Receivers to lock in their Letters of Intent. Might have helped the Huskers the last couple of years. Winking

Well this was not correct, so where are you at on it now? You leaning toward what I said, or do you think he is going to be N? It is a very interesting situation, but I feel Wiltfong is usually pretty spot on, and he has never wavered off of FSU even when everyone else did!

Yeah I'm a little surprised he left LSU off his top 3. I still think we're behind Tamu tho. I'm guessing he picks A&M here in a few weeks but once Sumlin is canned in December he and Jordan will open it back up and we'll be full by then. Trust me, I want no one Moore than Joshua Moore, I just don't see it happening.

Wiltfong switched to Nebraska today after holding strong with FSU for so long... He also did it after the video clip Jordan Moore posted and 6 straight Texas A&M CB's came in

The way I read Fuller's last statement before he went silent was that he may not qualify. I think the words he used were that he "might not be signing with anyone". Not commit, sign. CYA get somebody else.

Joshua Moore will be at Texas A&M Sunday with his brother at their big recruiting BBQ. Seems odd that he would announce for another school besides A&M when he will be on campus that day? Still hoping we can get him....
