Their schedule has been brutal. Still, it's hard to believe a 7-loss team could ascend to #1 over an undefeated power conference team that beat Kansas by 32.

GBB!!!

Link?

Regardless, I think it's been well documented how useless the RPI is in real life. Just a terrible, terrible index no matter how you slice it.

RPI is crap. The NCAA still uses it, but none of the announcers give it any credit

Anyone think if KU wins tonight they jump Gonzaga as the 3rd #2 seed? That could mean UK gets Gonzaga as their 2 in the Midwest.

This is where we need one of our photoshop gurus to make an "RPI #1" banner and show it next to the Helms National Championship banners.

Zags should be our #2 seed, but the committee won't make it that easy for us.

RPI puts a lot of weight in SOS which elevates Big12 teams like Kansas, Iowa St, Baylor...

Still going to root against them, but that would at least be a consolation if they win.

The media isn't giving coverage to KU being short Alexander because cheating was going on and apparently some big dollars were going his parents way. The longer this goes, it looks like Alexander may have signed the agreement himself. We would be called cheaters and made to vacate games a player participated in.

The funny thing is Kentucky was #1 to start the day so beating 127 RPI Auburn coupled with the other results today has dropped Kentucky's RPI even with the win today.

And yet someone will always cite "RPI" as a measuring stick for success.

Their schedule was statistically brutal due to an overrated Conference. It hasn't been brutal.

Kentucky back to #1 in the RPI I guess one of or more of the Georgia Southern, Dayton or Harvard wins caused the switch.

The Kansas game will determine it for today either way. Since it's so close if Kansas beats Iowa State even a win over Arkansas is unlikely to push us back to #1.

I am curious how you arrived at this conclusion.

This thread needs that GIF that was posted by the Kansas fan. I am not sure I have ever opened the same thread so many times to look at a GIF.

Kansas is the single most dirty program in the history of the NCAA. I wouldn't be surprised at anything that happens in Lawrence. You would spin even if we found that to be true. Your fan base does nothing but deflect every single negative issue Self and Kansas become involved in. Self is one of the "look the other way" coaches. I don't believe he is a cheat, but he allows the kansas system to manipulate like it always has.

Ugh just save it dude. You overstate things in every regard when it comes to Kansas.

I'm watching them play ISU -- it wouldn't be a 32-point win if we played them again, but it'd be at least 15.

You didn't really address his question -- you're on the level with people who say Cal is the dirtiest coach in the history of the game and fail to offer a shred of evidence.

Easy. Cal has never been found to be in violation. Kansas has never won the big one without going on, or coming off probation. And by big one I mean the national title, not some regular season banner.

Kiimo here to save the day again... He'll ignore the entire rest of the topic, yet address the ONE post that might be off base.

Oh well, you lost.
