Kansas University basketball coach Bill Self said earlier today on the pregame radio show with Bob Davis that sophomore guard Brannen Greene would not play in today's 3 p.m. game at Oklahoma after Greene was suspended "just for being irresponsible."
Greene is the third member of KU's regular rotation slated to miss today's Big 12 regular season finale. Junior forward Perry Ellis will not play because of a knee injury. And freshman forward Cliff Alexander, who remains out while the NCAA looks into eligibility issues, did not make the trip.
In addition, Self said that sophomore guard Wayne Selden, who injured his ankle in Tuesday's win over West Virginia in Lawrence, was listed as questionable for today.
"We'll be different, certainly," Self said. "Cliff can't travel because of the situation. Perry's actually doing well but he obviously will not suit. (As for) Wayne Selden, we'll make a decision after the pregame shoot. Yesterday, he maybe could've played but we couldn't tell because he was sick."
"Devonte' (Graham) and Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk will have a chance to play great minutes and Landen (Lucas) and Hunter (Mickelson)."
KU's lineup, should Selden be able to play, likely will include: Frank Mason, Selden, Kelly Oubre, Jamari Traylor and Lucas.
