Time for game day thread about announcers. I'm starting to like her. She does a good job of adding to the play by play but never tries to make it about her.

Points out what teams are doing but isn't too hyperbolic.

Sad part is I'm not sure If she's that good or ESPN has just set the bar so low with most of the color announcers.

Let the bashing begin.

I liked her before this game and I certainly like her after a really good afternoon on the mic.

She was actually quite good today. Enjoyed her more than I enjoyed Dickie V earlier. She seemed unbiased and competent.

First game I have listened to her and I have to say, don't get the hate. She was pretty good.

i agree she was good in this game. she had a pulse for how the game was going, was void of fluff and knew our team pretty well. and most importantly she wasn't annoying.

Same here. A lot of people were complaining about her before the game, but every time she's done a game that I was watching, I found her to be knowledgeable, unbiased and interesting. Have no issues with her calling our games at all.

She did good but I still don't like the sound of women calling games. I don't know what it is but it bugs me. Maybe it is from to many years of being conditioned to hearing men call games. Doesn't mean I like all the men announcers calling games. Half of them are annoying as well.

I liked her before today and thought she did a great job for today's game. Much better than a number of the men we often get and way better than what Vitale has become.

I thought she did a good job today. I like her mostly. She's knows the game and is well spoken. She doesn't bother me.

I've never understood the complaints about her. Like Bilas, she tells it like it is (which is refreshing), and IMO she is one of if not THE most knowledgeable of all announcers, male or female (with the exception of Bilas). She really does her homework and talks as if she is a fan for both teams in terms of what she knows about them. She is light years ahead of Doris, who annoys me for some reason.

Really good job. She's got a good handle on the game of basketball. I'll take her over Dukie V any day of the week.

I normally don't like female announcers during men's games but Lawson did a good job today. Like someone else said, she did her homework and had a lot of good analysis and comments.

Surely, someone can come up with something, no matter how stupid or irrational, to keep our streak alive!?!

Agree with the comments. She did a good job and her voice is not irritating at all.

I think either Bilas or Lawson would be great for all of our games.

I've heard her do a couple games in a row now and I'm actually really starting to like her. She definitely seems to know her stuff. Definitely would rather listen to her than Vitale, Fraschilla, Dakich. Although he's growing on me too. He says whatever is on his mind no matter what team is out there. Doesn't mean he's always right, but I like his style.

Plus she's never solicited a prostitute.
