That with good high school coaching and a players dedication and work ethic, you can make it to UK from any small school (class A) in Kentucky. I see so many on here just disregard a player from small schools but if you are a player with a football IQ and a mean streak, your future is what you make it.

Paintsville is proud of Kash as should everyone in Kentucky. The BBN is big in the mountains, especially in Johnson County.

Go Cats.

NO...haven't you heard by the on this board that this kid can't play and he is just some hillbilly hick who played against little boys and will never amount to anything at UK...guess somebody must have paid the coaches and experts at the AA to say all the good stuff about Kash and our other two recruits all week:boxing::boxing::football::football::cool2::sunglasses:

Yes. I don't understand why we don't think more highly of kentucky high school talent in class A. Look at all the players uk didn't recruit who went elsewhere and succeeded. Like....uh....You know. We have to sign those kids now.

I'm curious as to whom UK didn't try serious to recruit from an A or even AA school that made it big elsewhere at a P5 conference school.

Agree, but you must have God given talent as well. If an SEC college football scholarship rewarded every player who worked hard in HS there would be more available. The issue is it supposed to reward kids with legit talent and not everyone has that trait.

don't know who we have shirked in the past, but with modern social media I don't fear any hidden jems in the moutains going undiscovered by the UK coaching staff and instead ending up somewhere else playing D1 winning football

I watched him play against Paris in the playoffs(my son is the freshman kicker, had 22 touchbacks). Paris has a lot of speed(2 guys with 4.5 speed) Kash either ran over them or just flat out ran them for 2 40 plus yard TD's. On Defense he has good instincts and while making that big hit he raps up tackles with good solid form. He looks the part, after the game he took a picture with my son(no pads) who's a big kid(5'11 200) Daniel is a big solid kid, very nice and humble. I look forward to watching him play for #BBN.

I cannot think of the kids name - but around a decade ago there was a running back from Evarts High that gained around 3000 yd's his jr. and sr. year. People clamored for UK to offer him. He ended up at EKU I think but never saw the field.

A guy like Kash comes around once a decade in rural KY - glad he's on board but lets not kid ourselves about the overall talent level instate.

Great post, and I hope you are raising your son right. Nothing wrong with kicking him out of the house if he ever considers going to Transfer U or Thug U.

Not landing him nor Travis Prentice, in the same year, just goes to show how far UK Football Recruiting has progressed. It also proves that Stoops is not Bill Curry 2.0.

My guess is that some of them are fairly successful at Western. And there's no shame in that, considering how we looked against Western the last two times we played them.
