For those of you that like gardening and are enthusiastic and stupid enough to already have fairly sensitive plants out - having fully believed that lows in the upper teens were behind us - what do you do to keep your plants warm...

I'm thinking of putting some tarps over mine with some sort of electric light under it.

just thought maybe you old ladies or pot growers could help me out.

What plants you got out?

I won't be much help, just curious. I'm in central KY and looks like we'll be just under freezing for a bit (28-29) , but I don't think it will mess with my peonies and hostas that are growing.

This might do the trick.

just grow your weed inside. proper heat lamps and humidity and no weather problems. sure the plants are going to be smaller and less yield, but you don't have to be greedy. that will get ya caught anyways.

p.s. get ya a reptile as a pet. that solves the problem as for the need for the "lamps" and extra electricity usage. this is simple man.

I don't think you're supposed to use tarps or plastic.

Gets sheets and towels and weigh down the edges with something so they don't blow off.

Had to cover a little Japanese maple that had already put leaves out. Looks like a red neck moonlander touched down outside my front door.

Get one of those electric pipe warmer deals and put it around the trunk. It will keep the sap warm and running. Sort of like putting an electric blanket on it.
