The record had stood for 28 years, I have seen her run a lot of great races this year, usually just runs away from the field at the end, as the announcer said she destroyed a very good field.

New world record is 12.20, the old one was 12.21, she had run a 12.24 at Oregon so this was coming.

Just a freshman, stay tuned. Nice to see the UK cap on her coach hugging her at the end.

Threw in a clunker and finished 6th at the trials, incredibly bad luck. Is it possible she gets added for someone who gets injured or otherwise can't make it?

All finishes are by photograph and unless the superimposed time is the one that the starter's gun initiated then it's just for show.

Beautiful response to the news. Loved it! Also love that her dad (I think) had a UK hat on. Pretty UK woman kicking some international arse!

Way back in 1959 in Engineering school they announced that the US was converting from the English to the Metric system of measurements. It looks like they did better in track and field than in the scientific arena and it looks like they still have some work to do, LOL, How do you correct the title, I tried to change the yards to meters but don't see it, oh well.

Think that is her coach, Foreal, that does have quite an athlete for a son, track star that is a walkon on the basketball team that got a free ride last year. Probably a walkon this year, but still gets free tuition from his Dad's position I believe.
