I’ve been out of town and finally got around to watching the Big Ten semis. I did not see anyone mention it but Kennedy gave up the takedown to Minto because of a whistle on the other mat. If you watch the video Kennedy is holding Minto’s leg to his chest, the whistle blows on the other mat, then Patrick lets go of the leg and Minto gets the takedown and goes immediately into a tilt.
Anyone who has the video please look it up and tell me what you think. Most of us have made that mistake in our careers but the timing was so costly. If he wins that match NCAA’s looks so much better.
