We should’ve seen this I’m not sold on him but get him the tools and I will trust steinThank likely means Sam Leavitt is going to LSU.
That was really fast. Almost too fast.
I’m not sold on this
I absolutely trust our coach and absolutely do not trust some random poster on this forum. I’ll take this guy over Boley - appears to be more talented if not as experienced. I guess we’ll see.Stein went all in and lost. This is a fine backup option but not worth paying the premium it undoubtedly took and running off the promising hometown talent that was giving us a discount.
Notre Dame fans think highly of him, for whatever it’s worth. That and Nebraska fans seem pretty disappointed. For good reason. We ran off a hometown kid giving us a discount to basically get a lateral move that we undoubtedly paid a premium.
Will this kid be good? Ya probably, but so would cutter. Plus cutter would've been cheaper and it wouldn't burn bridges with one of the best highschool programs in the state.
I posted it when he made the gamble: this was a chips all in gamble and stein lost.
Care less about Cutter being a hometown kid and who said he was run off? Boley had a very average year and if we’re basing things on talent, then this guy looks like he may have more upside. For good reason. We ran off a hometown kid giving us a discount to basically get a lateral move that we undoubtedly paid a premium.

Yah, I wish our coaches didn’t think ahead and have a plan B in mind. Too bad this didn’t drag on for days. That was really fast. Almost too fast.
Why don’t we wait and let the new QB throw a pass and new coach, coach and game before we decide? You might be right on Cutter, but let’s trust the staff that is doing a great job in the portal so far.For good reason. We ran off a hometown kid giving us a discount to basically get a lateral move that we undoubtedly paid a premium.

WTF you talking about his stats suck at NDThis is a great pickup! This kid can play. Throws it well and is very mobile. 22/26 on the season as a backup to CJ Carr (who’s really good) who he nearly beat out for the starting job. Fans will be pretty happy with him if he winds up being the starting QB
That’s not what I meant. I was commenting on the fact that he would flip today which is a day after committing to Nebraska.Yah, I wish our coaches didn’t think ahead and have a plan B in mind. Too bad this didn’t drag on for days.
Good point. I’d imagine he’s not as much as Leavitt. Leaves a little money to splurge on other positions possiblyUse the money saved on this QB for linemen on each side of the ball. That’s where big time football is won.
Huh? QBR on limited action is much better than Boley.WTF you talking about his stats suck at ND
I hope they are rightNotre Dame fans think highly of him, for whatever it’s worth. That and Nebraska fans seem pretty disappointed.
dude we are usually aligned on thoughts and I will give Stein the benefit of the doubt but he better hope he turns this guy into something or this is POPE 2.0. He’s running your team in the SEC with a VERY tough scheduleWhy don’t we see what the guy can do first. I mean ND usually gets pretty good FB players and if other teams are disappointed in the flip it must mean he has some talent. We also have no idea the price tag yet.
Limited action he threw less than 30 Fn passes in 3 yearsHuh? QBR on limited action is much better than Boley.
He's not as explosive, exciting or flashy as Leavitt, but he's at least good. Having a good QB is better than not having a superstar QB. So it is what it is. Surround him with good offensive players and we can win with this guy.
This guy isn’t a big 10 QB he’s never started or thrown more the 30 passesSome of yall need to wake up. Cutter Boley was not a sec qb. look at his td to int ratio. 15 tds and 12 ints. not counting fumbles. his accuracy was not there. this Minchy kid is way better. Just because Boley is aKy kid yall want to prop him up as the next great qb. Myself i trust steins assesment than yours.
Reasonable post. Very very mobile. Won’t get sacked much. I think he is a ball control QB and avg pass at 7+ yards, just like Boley.I absolutely trust our coach and absolutely do not trust some random poster on this forum.
