Why would we be vulnerable against the three early on?
UK loses in a landslide if they play like they did in the B/W game. Not much to be taken from exhibitions, but still.
I am hoping to see some chemistry start building in this exhibition. I am also curious who is going to start the point with Lowe out and how his replacements play.

It's a possibility, but I'm talking about the lackluster effort, poor rebounding, bricks so plentiful you could build a house....
I think we'll see a lot of improvement once we play another team, but B/W was just... Bad.
I don't expect Kentucky to have the chemistry that Purdue should have due to there veterans playing together but if they do I like Kentucky's chances of beating Purdue.
Cats lose by double digits. Only because it is early and Purdue brings back players that have been in their system for a while and were pretty darn good last season. Different story in post season.

What did those returning players win last season?
Braden Smith should be a top 5 college player this year. This early I think our defense will struggle, eventually the athletic-ness of this roster becomes a good defensive team but communication will lack early. On Offense we likely don't have set roles except for Oweh and that will cause some confusion.

I hope our coach uses it to see what lineups work best and doesnt solely focus on winning. this game and to a lesser extent the Georgetown game can be a very helpful tool if we allow it to be.
I think we go out and play loose. Kick their *** by about 15. It’s Purdue vs Kentucky. Let’s not get to caught up in them being preseason #1. I just wish JQ was ready to go.

Cats by 8-12 or so. Get an early jump with the crowd and energy I'm sure the team will have. Jasper Johnson will be player of the game, kicking off the first controversy of the year between who should start between him and Lowe.
Hard to even guess. It should be fun seeing this group on the floor though.
This will be a lot more competitive for the players. They get to play against someone different than their own teammates.
I got torched but I said I thought they looked terrible too. I hope I’m wrong but I’ve never seen us look that bad in an exhibition game. Maybe Pope mixed it up????? But, we had zero flow.
Defense was great, which makes sense since Pope is mixing it up this year and coaching defense first. Offense will come later, but still. It was pretty rough to watch.
I think we'll be one of the top 10 best defensive teams in the country when it's all said and done. Just need that offense to get installed.
Yeah. That B/W game. Thats the best we got. Nobody ever improves after that first intrasquad game.
Purdue will execute. They will play defense. That said, we have the horses to stay in the race. Score is irrelevant in this. Watch passing. Watch defense. We’ll get some insight from those two things. I want to see Purdue held to under 70. I want to see a bunch of assists. I want to see single digit turnovers.
Do those things and the score will take care of itself

if lowe plays UK 83 Purdue 81 if he doesn't Purdue 77 UK 69 but its much closer then that ( free throws at the end ). But Honestly how we play is more important in this game to me then a W or L.
Without Lowe and Quaintance (who could end up being our best two players), I'll be surprised if we stay within 12-15.
Purdue should be way ahead of us at this point. If we win, it will be because of Rupp. We'll be the better team when March arrives.
It's a scrimmage,who knows. Both coaches will be pulling out all stops to win. Given our two best players, One hurt and the other rusty from not playing all summer with turf toe, I would guess Purdue has an advantage. However we don't really know how our team will play with so many new comers, somebody might get hot. Regardless until we have full healthy roster it is hard to gauge how this performance will be a real test of this teams future. JQ is the wildcard for this team, get him healthy and playing and UK becomes something else altogether. We will have none of those questions answered tomorrow night.
Without Lowe or JQ, first game for the kids together against a veteran team, I am expecting an 8-10 point loss. If we see them in March at full strength, I might reverse that

EXACT lineup I predicted after the Lowe injury. Noah showed more in the B/W game and Pope was his best shooter on the floor.
Without two of our best players and our other best player returning from turf toe i think Purdue takes it by 10 to 15. Hard to overcome the injuries and the advantage of their players playing together alot longer than our players.
Well even with the players out for Kentucky, I am going to be a homer for the Cat's tonight.

Not to mention the core of the Purdue team has played together for a while. MOST of UK's team are new, at least the major contributors.
Heck yeah. I was around during the Pitino years and it seemed like we had 8 guys on the court sometimes. So fun to watch. I agree. If Pope can come even close to replicating that press it's gonna be 40 minutes of hell for the opponent.
