Expecting a lot better year from Mangione and our team this year! Last year was a dud if we’re being honest and our baseball program is better than what we showed last year. Let’s go Bat Cats!

Can’t wait to hit up baseball Cats at Pride Park this year. Hopefully the tickets are stupid high again, means we’re rolling. I played college basketball but was my dream to play in Lexington. Love what we’re doin, wish we could bring a CWS home.
The bullpen has been shaky, but credit to them for stepping up yesterday after Cleaver's early exit in the 1st and pitching 8 1/3 innings. They have room to improve still, but got the job done picking up bulk innings when we needed them. Nile Adcock was huge in relief of Cleaver coming in to limit the damage.
Hopefully, Cleaver is not dealing with an injury, but the control issues are worrisome. Last year, Cleaver was a horse out there on the mound, pitching into the 5th through 14 of his 15 starts. This year, he has not recorded an out yet in the 5th through 5 starts. On the bright side, Jaxon Jelkin has been exactly what we hoped for and being off to a 4-0 start is massive for this rotation.

Cleaver missed most of the fall with an injury. He is struggling and has had multiple short outings. We need him back full strength to win the title - it may be that Bennett goes into the rotation and they give Cleaver some time to work through some things.
Jelkin has been a bit problematic his last few starts as was N Harris his last outing. I still believe in the rotation, but they are being challenged at the moment.
Since Tyler Bell’s return, the offense has carried the team and has been fine even in his two game absence. They have more quality depth of hitters than I have ever seen at UK.
The pen has had their moments, but it would be nice to see guys besides Mattison and Bennett step up. Need to build more dependable depth.

Adcock gets the job done again and finishes off the sweep of Alabama with his 1st save this year.
What a way to start SEC play! Some “bend, don’t break” to this team. Have the pieces to make a ton of noise. Glad the Bat Cats gave us something good to watch during the SEC Tourney Championship Game.
Looks like they are currently ranked between #15-20 in most polls.

I thought we got hosed on the play at the plate where Campbell threw out the baserunner. Umpire called him out and after a long review it was overturned. It would have ended the inning. Shortly after the overturn they showed a shot of the play and it appears he was out. Could not understand the overturn if the review person had the view they showed on tv.
Bama ended up scoring two more runs in addition to the overturn.
Need to at minimum win 1 game to keep on pace. 2 would be gravy.
