Where are you finding this spread, OP? I don't see anything listed anywhere. I would definitely take Kentucky if you gave me almost 8 points. I don't see it.

So has Duke
It is hilarious to watch a troll get so agitated she loses all self-control and can’t even pretend anymore.

A team of talented, experienced players in a dynamic system who have shown a commitment to teamwork and sacrifice against a team focused on a somewhat overhyped freshman (he’s no AD.) And it is early November. Take those points as a gift.

Based on my extremely limited data sample, I would call it a toss-up. If anything, about a half point edge to us.

That being said, a 20 point margin in either direction wouldn’t shock me. I see both teams as being capable of extended runs. Might be one of those nights where the team with the last run gets the last laugh.

Yeah. I don't get 7.5

Think the actual line will be more like 4 around tip-off.

I haven't seen Duke yet. Kentucky has looked good to me. Lots of positives. But, I'm not entirely convinced they are ready for a huge game like this. That said, a win wouldn't completely surprise me.
Duke starts three (3) Freshmen ... if they can be ready, so should we because of the incredible experience we have.
We may not win, but we'll be ready. There's no reason not to be ...

We will definitely learn a lot of our team on Tuesday and I do think the veteran players and presence will show this game. If we can jump out early then that puts all the pressure on them and their young players. How do they respond if so and the opposite can be true, if they jump out early then how do our older guys respond…….also, big time game and other than butler, curious to see how our older guys respond in this atmosphere.

Stats only encompass a couple of games, but Duke as a team shooting the 3pt. shot better (more volume at a better %) than us is not what I wanted to see. And I think Carr probably needs to rebound well in this game, including keeping Flagg and Brown off the offensive boards.

What? What is your problem. I state facts: we have over performed Vegas, Torvik, and KenPom each of first two games and so have they. Why does that make me a troll? I went to school at Jentucky; I don’t understand this vitriol for saying it will be a tough game (which obviously the rest of the country agrees with outside you crazies on here).

And Maluach who appears to be elite at offensive rebounding in his young career.

Gonna really impact how fans view the season. So, far, fans are comfortable, but this game could really shift the filter.

If Pope wins this game he'll be solidified.

Losing this game will completely lower expectations and excitement.

I particularly don't like any team that loses to Duke. It'll be different for me this year if they lose to Duke.
I wish they didn't have to play duke...ever.
It's not their fault it's just the way it is. 💯

Please win.

Crazies, basketball Bennies we don't really care. This is, after all, a fan site.

It didn't lower my expectations when the 96 team lost an early one to UMass.
And it won't get me now.
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

That's crazy talk. No one expects this team to be Final Four caliber, which is what it would take to beat Duke. Could they reach that point? Of course, but realistically, this is a Sweet Sixteen, maybe Elite 8 Team at best. That said, all I want to see is continued smart, unselfish, fundamentally-sound basketball. And no drama. That will make me happy. Now next year and the year after that? Expectations naturally go up.

Go Cats!

I'm way more optimistic now than I was back in the summer. I think we can definitely beat Duke. 99% of our roster has played at neutral site games before and at least historically our teams shoot better away from Rupp.

Maluach does have great size. But Williams is quicker, much more athletic and probably stronger. I think UK can win that battle, but I can't guess as to how much impact that would have on the final score. I would also like to see UK coax Flagg into being "the man" and taking a lot of 3pt. and midrange shots. Flagg may get lucky and make a higher percentage of those shots Tuesday, but I'd take my chances.

Offensive stats have been virtually identical. We shoot a little better overall, they shoot the 3 a little better. (So far)

You need to block that dude. He’s emotionally unstable. After almost two decades here I have almost no one blocked but he’s one I do tune out because enough’s enough.

True. I just hoped for a bigger advantage for us with the 3pt. shooting. I didn't expect Proctor to shoot as well as he has, or Knueppel either honestly. Although again it's so early as to be largely meaningless.
