For me i see a football team with a chance going 6-6 to 7-5 to 8-4 this year.
it all depends on what UK does in its very first game of the season. so this is my opinion on what UK could do in it first 6 games and Last 6 games.Again it also depends on how healthy UK is in the beginning of the season and second half of the season, alot can happen.

First 6......(5-1 or 4-2 is possible)

Southern Miss...W
at Florida....This game can go either way..(W-L)
New Mexico St....W
South Carolina...W
at Bama...L
Vandy....W

Last 6 games....(3-3 or 2-4)

Miss St....this game can go either way...(W-L)
at Mizz....W
Georiga....L
at Tenn.....L
Austin Peay,,,,W
at UL....L

Florida goes down in the Swamp and the streak ends.

Something is going on with their best WR, Calloway or maybe its Comartie, UF coach said he wasn't enrolled in summer school. Was suspended for spring practice, seems like it would be hard for him to get eligible.

I do love off season optimism. Even I had it the last two seasons and into mid October. However the schedule is pretty difficult and im going to be realistic. 3-9 record. Southern miss will be pretty tough, maybe the best in their conference, and Louisville will be very good. Winning SEC games isn't UK football's strong point, and it's their conference.

Every fan base is shows plenty of optimism this time of year. UK had 5 close SEC games last year, games where a single play could have changed the outcome and went 2-3. UK doesn't play AU this year and replaces them with Bama but play the other 4 which means 2-2 in those games. Optimism says UK improves enough to go 4-0 in those games, a pessimist says they go 0-4 which is what you are saying predicting 3 wins. I just don't see that and I am not even a UK fan. Sure it's possible, but extremely unlikely, Missouri has a new coach and they didn't look good in their spring game, USC has a new coach, new staff, starting a true frosh at qb, lost their best player for the year, no offensive playmakers, Vandy will be stout defensively but most likely not very good offensively, UF will be starting a transfer qb, may not have their leading WR and if not they have no playmakers, but will be stout defensively. I just don't see a season less than 6 wins, unless injuries and bad bounces are extreme.

How is this in any way "realistic"?

So UK loses every SEC game (even to teams they beat last year), drops UL AND an outside chance at a Southern Miss loss to be 2-10? LMAO

Realistic would be hey, I don't see us beating anyone new - 5-7....

Where do these guys come up with this crap every year ? We have a new O.C. , New offense being installed , QB with very little experience , DL still in the works and Stoops . And the only thing he has proven in 4 years he can land a few recruits . The schedule is a lot tougher this year . And if Stoops loses the first game to Southern Miss then the season is over and Mitch should be fired on the spot !

No criminal issue at UF with Calloway. This is strictly a Title lX university thing, so many expect him to be back summer B. UF is just being cautious, just the opposite of Baylor and on occasion, UT.

Pretty easy, really.

We have a better OC, a better offense, probably better QB play with NINE OF TEN other starters returning PLUS newcomers, the ONE starter lost replaced with either a 5.9 JC or a SIX POINT ONE freshman (with all five second team OL returning), ALL of a very talented WR corp AND TE returning (with additions), the offense looks loaded for bear to me. Maybe too optimistic, maybe, but your post is nonsense. Yes, Bama is tougher than Auburn, but we lost that game last year anyway.

And you "almost" got one thing right, Stoops and crew CAN recruit, as proven by maybe the best DBs in the SEC, ALL returning, and the starters on offense can and probably will average MORE than a four star, compare that to the 07 team that averaged LESS than a three star on offense------with deplorable depth.

Finally, we WON'T lose to Southern Miss.
