I remember many years where they had iced hard draws. And those years we capitalized most of the times. Lately we’ve had very favorable draws and have not capitalized at all.

But man, I could very easily see us in the sweet 16 against Tennessee. Which that’s the best 2 seed matchup we could ask for. As long as it’s not Bama lol. We could definitely beat Tennessee. And then if some how someone could knock off Houston, bc I do not think we’d matchup well, with them, a final 4 isn’t impossible. Let’s do this. Go Cats!!!

Duke didn't get a major easy draw either. They potentially have to face Miss St in the second game. If Flagg is still gimpy, that's a losable game for them.
Cam Matthews could cause Flagg some issues, but MSU plays so undisciplined most of the time

Just don't beat ourselves in these games. Turnovers, freethrows, loose ball fouls. We see where that gets us.

We thought that many times and you have to win the 1st game for it to even matter as we know

I didn't think I'd ever say this - even villians have a redemption arc

I don't think Kentucky has the horsepower this year to win it. That said of course I'm pulling for them, BUT

if UK can't, I want St. Johns to win the whole damn thing

I don’t think we’ll see Illinois. I see Xavier coming out to play us. They’ve actually played really well the last half of the year. I like our draw. If there’s a 2 to play, why not the one you’ve beaten twice?

I have felt we got hosed on the NCAA draw many times but this year is not one of them. We have beaten .much better teams than we will face in first 2 rounds this season. I like our chances to go to next weekend
Yes, and we may have to play Texas again, and I don’t gave good memories of our game against Texas.

Yall acting like Texas isn't beating Illinois. They are
Definitely possible.

Illinois is a pretty bipolar team. I don't think they're nearly as physical as what we're used to seeing.

I'm not sure who I'd prefer to see out of Texas, Illinois. Illionois is higher for a reason. Texas has the lottery pick NBA talent, and we had a hard time with them the last time.

Even with Butler back the team is still limping.
Butler - will have to be careful with that side
Oweh - hopefully will be wearing something to cover what was a nasty gash
Carr - his back is day to day
Perry - apparently a strain of his shooting hand or something

They're human, we've all had moments where an injury takes us out of the ordinary.

We lost that Texas game in the last 5 minutes, and carr wasn't at full strength then and butler didn't play

Not saying it would be an easy win or anything but I think we can take care of business this time

I don’t think I’ve seen confidence about a draw like what I just saw on an Illinois board. They are extremely happy. To a person - saw no one pushing back or arguing

At this point of the year I don’t look at anything as easy or favorable .

The players most definitely can’t look at it that way .

I am 70. I would like to hope that sometime before I turn 90 that just one time our bracket could have NO team that is a rival or that we had played during the season. Other blue chips are awarded that but WE never get that. This year’s bracket would have been close to that kind of bracket if Tennessee had not been our two and say it had been Michigan State.

They were undefeated and the #1 overall seed and got matched with a team that had the most talent in the nation but hadn't figured it out yet. Yeah man seems fair.
That’s all subjective. Hadn’t figured it out yet? How do you seed for that? You don’t.

That’s not a screw job. That’s just bad timing.

It’s not death row but I wouldn’t call it favorable. Troy is good, Illinois is a very dangerous 6 and beating TN for a 3rd time would be very hard.
Yep, having to face Tenn in the sweet 16 is not what I call a favorable draw! That is if we get to the sweet 16.
