Buzz is an interesting guy. He looks like a guy I'd normally love to hate (just watching him on the sideline).

But having seen some behind the scenes interviews, and him talking to his players about military sacrifice and respecting the US flag, etc., he's a hard guy to hate.

To other points above, yes he's in love with our offense, but I bet he's really excited about our (lack of) defense.

My guess is their guys are all up in our kitchen on the 3 point perimeter, and force us to drive against physical bumping. (Cmon refs!).

Wasn't surprised to hear him say that their defense is based on an NFL defensive coordinator's tenets

I don't agree that it takes "more talent" to run Pope's offense. It takes experience and willingness to constantly cut, screen and pass. Whether you can knock down the three or find your way to the basket and score when there's an opening, is another matter.
Yeah it doesn't take more talent I just meant it will happen. And when it does look out!

I like Buzz. I guess watching tape of UK made him crave some nicotine. He’s killing the Nicorette at the 2 min mark of this video! 😂

Exactly, This is the stuff that has became normalized and needs rooted out.

Allow freedom of movement back. Basketball and soccer are supposed to have more in common with “the beautiful game” than basketball and football. I’ve heard commentators make reference to “yards after contact” when talking about driving the ball…that shouldn’t be a thing.

Loosening the carry and traveling rules and emphasize athleticism and power contributes to the shift to 1v1, ball screens…which needed physical body checks and hand checks to break momentum and counter. Basketball is more aesthetic when it’s more off ball movement and screens, motion, snapping the ball around the court etc. which also emphasized offensive and defensive strategy and the “chess game”

Need to real in the the ball handling rules and get the hand back on the side and top of the ball…and get rid of over initiating moving contact on both sides of the ball

Nothing like a Kentucky girl. IYKYK

We have some good ones but pound for pound, even the ugly women in Alabama are good looking.

Buzz Williams is a great fit for Texas A&M. Good for them after losing BCG to us, and then Turgeon to Maryland. Buzz is an excellent coach and a native of north Texas. I think they have found their guy long term.

“So let me make the game as ugly as possible”
Nah. We just can’t make wide open shots. Oweh keeps turning the ball over and hitting nothing but backboard from 3 feet. Williams has a steal and attempts a layup instead of a dunk. This isn’t the other team mucking things up. This is just poor offensive execution.
