I believe it's up to this point in the season. Certainly will improve considering who they'll be playing going forward.

I don’t see how that could be possible (our schedule to date) but I’m not complaining

I guess because Duke played us, Arizona and Kansas. So it has to be this. Because in that small sample. That's a pretty legit schedule. Kentucky on the other hand had Duke and 6 mid majors.

Our OOC schedule is actually so-so, but I'm fine with that so long as the SEC continues to be as good as it is.

I also wonder if this ranking is for specifically OOC play, games played and games still to be played. Kenpom does this as well, so that could be it also.

Anyone thinking we deserve a higher ranking after playing one good team and 6 mid majors is homer Dunning-Kruger effecting.

I’ve been saying this for years. How SOS is calculated is flawed.

The reason we are so high now is that our mid-majors aren’t cupcakes, meaning we aren’t playing several teams from 250-350, we have played 1 from the 300’s, 1 from around 230, and 4 from low-mid 100’s.

So many teams who have played a 2nd or 3rd bottom team will have SOS below us.

We dropped to 29th on that SOS after last night. I would call that ranking an outlier. We are realistically something closer to 150, imo.

SOS won’t be a problem this year though. Probably be top 10 by the time we get through the SEC schedule.

Fairly high considering what we've played to date. Much higher when we get into SEC play.

Guys we have played 1 team so far, we have played a team in Kenpom 300's / 2 in the 200's. I am trying to figure out how it is 19th. Should probably be in the lower 20's as of right now. Next week we would be in the 10 to 12 range I would think. Look at others out there. Have already played 3 or 4 Quad 1 games.

Nothing here to worry about. Right now we have played Duke. That will change come Tuesday. Pick up a win at Clemson / Quad 1 game and then do the same out West and then we still have Louisville and Ohio State. Our schedule is as tough as most of the top 10.
