Kentucky up 1-0 on Auburn in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Good start. Hopefully they can pull of a series win this weekend.

1-1 now in the bottom of the 4th. Auburn is apparently pitching by committee today. They have already used 4 pitchers.

Auburn with 2 runs in the top of the 6th to lead 3-1, Reed homers leading off the bottom of 6th, now 3-2 Auburn. A J with his 21st HR of the season.

Kentucky hangs on to win 6-3 after a rain delay. Auburn brings the tying run to the plate in the 9th, but Spencer Jack gets the fly ball out. A J Reed wins to go to 9-2 on the season, while he also homers for the 21st time.
Cats now 29-19 on the season, 11-14 in the SEC. Curiously, Auburn did not pitch either of the top starters, saving them for Saturday and Sunday. Might be good strategy, we shall see.

So is it the top 12 teams record wise that get into the tournament? If so, we are in but but not real safe since Tennessee owns the tie breaker. Arkansas won so they are 12-13 as is Texas A&M. Auburn, Missouri, and Georgia are below us and likely to stay there. Luckily UT has Florida coming in next and we have to go to Georgia. Arkansas goes to Missouri so that isn't the toughest place. Looks like our best chance to move to a higher seed is to squeeze out more wins than Tennessee.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell, Missouri is not going to make the tourney. Auburn, and Georgia are looking up to Tennessee, UK, Arkansas, and A&M. UK needs to win as many aspossible in SEC play to get as high a seed as possible !
