This was going to be the first game since Arkansas joined the league and would determine who would be the dominant team for the SEC for the next few years. Arkansas won 105-88. A bad showing by Kentucky.
This game proved Rick Pitino was a huge mistake and would never beat Richardson and Arkansas. Should have hired Loot Olsen or PJ Carlesimo.
Except it didn't mean that. Kentucky would make Arkansas their ***** in the SEC Tournament after this year. And while Arkansas did have a nice run, Kentucky had a better one.
