Just a friendly reminder for our KY fan lurkers.

Michigan St looking like their usual early season self.

Weird having the top 4 teams play and none of them look really good. Yeah it’s early but usually there’s that one team that usually impresses really early. I guess it’s usually us lol

How many steps can a player take without being called for traveling? Because Maxey threw an outlet pass to Hagans on a fast break and Hagans caught the ball about a foot before he got to the free throw line and never dribbled the ball as he ran to the basket for a layup. It looks like he took at least 3 steps after he caught the ball. lol

Kentucky with a near halfcourt shot for 3 but still had 6 more seconds. Weird.

Both teams look like trash. Jack White would have 8 steals against either team.
All 4 teams looked like trash I mean KU had 28 turnovers, It is early November though, we all will get better You didn't think Maxey did ok?

Maxey is going to be a beast. He looked like he was about 10 feet behind the 3 point line when he shot a 3 late in the game. If Duke and Kentucky meet at any point in the NCAAT and Tre Jones and Maxey guard each other that will be a fun matchup to watch with Tre’s defense against Maxey’s offense.

No fan of any of the 4 teams last night should feel too smug about the way their team played, nor should they feel too hopeless either. Lots of cupcakes coming up to improve their game.

Well put. None of the four teams looked particularly sharp, or near what they can be. I'm just glad to be one of the teams leaving with a win.

I know the play you're referencing, and yes, he traveled. It was three steps. I think he got away with another walk just a couple moments later, too.

Agreed. No one really stood out as a team that's worthy to cut down the nets. A lot can change in five months, however.

Do you think Duke had anything to do with those turnovers? Or were all 28 unforced?
That's fair, but the #4 team in the country should take better care of the ball regardless of opponent, Again I reiterate all 4 teams will improve, you guys looked good for Nov 5th, we looked good for Nov 5th

Love Izzo - he loads his early season to get tough game experience and it usually benefits his teams at the end of the year. He is willing to take some L's so his team can learn and grow....

KenPom now has MSU at #1 and Kentucky at #2. I usually like KenPom and appreciate the rankings and data there, but somebody needs to explain this one to me.

Each team has played one game - against each other. KY won. So... how does he conclude that MSU has a better adjusted efficiency margin?

I like Ken-Pom, but it's pretty useless until January or February. He has even said his model is pointless without at least 20 games of data.

MSU didn't have Langford for that game, that would be my only thought.
