Kentucky will NOT win the national title

I know Kentucky is unbeaten, which is an incredible achievement. But I don't think the Wildcats would be unbeaten in the Big 12 even though they beat Kansas 70-55 and Baylor 69-58 early in the season.

Kentucky is in the Southeastern Conference, clearly No. 1 in football, but inferior to the Big 12 in basketball. SEC's 14 teams lost 64 non-conference games this season, or more than 4.5 losses per school. Big 12's 10 teams have lost 31 non-conference games, or 3.1 per school. BIG difference in quality between the two conferences.

Also, the No. 1 team in the final regular season NCAA rankings, usually the No. 1 seed of seeds in the NCAA tournament, in SIXTY FIVE years only three teams not named UCLA have won March Madness. The odds are stacked against Kentucky in so many ways.

By the way, WVU will open against Buffalo on Friday in the NCAAs. Kentucky only beat Buffalo, 69-53. WVU might do that well against Buffalo. I hope.

One advantage Kentucky will have against WVU, if they meet: It will be the first game of the second week, which will give Kentucky more than one day to get ready for the Mountaineers' ferocious, all-game, full-court press.

I would take the field against Kentucky this year. I would take the field against the No. 1 of No. 1 seeds every year and make a ton of money, if history is any indication.

Let the games begin!

UK faced a team with identical playing style twice this season in Arkansas

When ARK tried to press and create their 'havok', Uk blew them out of the water

When ARK tried to slow down and kill clock in the SEC tournament, UK thrived on superior inside play

They are the only college team ever who could sub out 5 NBA draft picks for 5 NBA draft picks

UK would roll through any league. I know they struggled against LSU & Texas A&M, but they also beat Kansas by 32 pts & they beat Texas by double digits. Having said that they aren't unbeatable. Any team can have an off night. And that's all it takes in the NCAA tourney. But if I had to bet, I'd definitely take UK over the field. There hasn't been a team this good since that UNLV team that won the national title.

The only teams with a chance to beat UK are teams that have multiple players than can shoot it from the arc and beyond. They would have to have at lest three of their guys shooting it well and hope UK is having a poor shooting day.

I think Kentucky will roll through the tourney and win. ND and Wisc could give them game, possibly Gonzaga.

If we get to the sweet 16, UK will destroy us with our style of play. I don't say that easily because I have been a WVU fan all my life, just being realistic.

I think you are pissing in the wind. Not sure B12 could pick an all-star team to beat UK.

WV will have a difficult time Friday. Teams have been shoot ing 50% and better against us for wins. Buff should have no problem shooting 50%. We will be OK if we play Huggs ball and D and rebound. If our D is working, Huggs 12 can beat their 8.

Huggs 12 vs Cal 12, there is no comparison. They simply play above us and we cannot outnumber them all night. I like WV, but we would have to shoot 65% from field and 90% from foul. Not impossible, but highly unlikely. Sorry Charlie, but the Wildcats are exactly as billed. A team full of A-As and they play defense too. They are so rich in talent, that they cut a player from last year who now leads Gonzaga in scoring.

Re: Kentucky will NOT win the national title...they will buy it!

You are right.................Kentucky will not win the NC. They simply buy the NC or a shot at it every year! Warez
