Don't like nepotism when it comes to coaches and their kids, but Keyan looks like he has good speed. As long as he's willing to come in and work hard to earn his keep, good luck to the young man.

Not a bad offer list for a 3 star out of HS...

This is going to be like a Doug McDermott case. He either has to be one of the best receivers if he plays or not play hardly at all. Because if it's anywhere in the middle, people could get very ornery about a situation like that; it is a tricky situation with fans. Sorry to Creighton haters but it is a decent analogy. Happy he is N nonetheless!!!

2015 Stats
7 rec 34 yds (All in first game.

Looks like he redshirted last year (2014).
Transfer rules means he has to sit out 2016, and then has 2 years to play (2017, 2018)... correct?

Right, if he redshirted in 2014 and played in 2015 he will only have two years left after sitting out 2016. But it sounds like he is applying for a hardship to be eligible next season.

Coach Williams must plan on staying at Nebraska for a few years then?
Also, it does not state whether he will be a walk-on or on scholarship. Any ideas?

Not sure how good his son is but that's good news as I'm assuming this means Williams will be sticking around for awhile.

I could be wrong, and too lazy to look it up, but I think you have five years to get in your four years absent a waiver. So, even if he has three years of eligibility right now, he is going to be down to two years when he gets back on the field, I believe, unless they get a waiver that allows him to play next fall due to circumstances or get some kind of waiver to get the additional year back.

He may also be looking at a medical hardship down the road. He took a pretty bad hit vs Ole Miss in Fresno's 2nd game and got a concussion and I don't know if he played the rest of the season.

That would explain his stats page showing he played only the first 2 games.

Yes they will apply for the Hardship Waiver since his father is a coach here.
