It looks like every time we have a three wide to one side (from the opposite hash), we have our widest WR run all the way over to the other wide position. That is giving the opposing D a little more recovery time.

Also indicates man or zone from the defense

1) I would think in 2018, defenses can disguise zone. Who plays zone anymore?

2) Left hash left to right

Warner JD Morgan

Right hash left to right

Warner JD Morgan

I am sure the coaches would argue that they try to keep guys in their position whether it be slot, X, WR, Z or whatever. So they know their assignments by heart. But it does slow down the no huddle.

Most defenses run a mix of zone and man on every play. Disgusing zone isn't always easy with spread concepts as well as some window dressing scenarios. So In short, everyone runs zone in 2018.

I go to bed thinking all coaches hate zone. Then I see guys like Teddy Bruschi backing into an interception.

So when JD needs a break, do you think Mike Williams will sub in for Kade Warner and then they move Kade to slot over Mazour or Jones? Frost said Kade can play all three WR positions. And Mazour seems to be mentioned more as a RB although he’s on the 2-deep behind JD. Kind of confused what the strategy will be for Tyjon’s playing time.

What I am saying is all the receivers should be able to play all three of the receiver positions. Maybe the playbook needs to be scaled down. Maybe wristbands are the answer. It seems to me Nebraska is just barely up tempo.
