Kirk Douglas, iconic star of films like 'Spartacus', and '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea' is celebrating his 100th birthday today. Definitely an amazing accomplishment, especially considering the era of Hollywood he came from (40's, 50's, and 60's) where everyone smoked like a chimney and drank like a fish.

Nothing to do with Douglas, but I recently saw a clip of an episode of an old talk show, not sure which one (it was black and white), in which everyone on the show, including the host were smoking and drinking scotch on the rocks. Definitely a complete 180 from the overly-PC and hyper-sensitive world we live in now.

That's just great, now we've got a Willard Scott wannabe on Catpaw.

Isn't it enough that we have to put up with Sean's soccer/drone/TV show threads? Next time you wanna post about a birthday, just eat a jar of Smucker's and STFU.

So you enjoy threads about drones and old men who haven't died yet? Got it.
So you enjoy being sarcastic in every damn post. What the hell, the OP is just paying homage to a great actor. Some of us, born before 1990 are more respectful.

Born in 75. Sean approves of using drones to spy on soccer loving kids who identify as Catholic.

So mad at Dig? He's just pointing it out. He has kid's who play soccer and Sean also thinks Catholics are fake Christians. Say what you want.

Watch for Sean Netflix picks. Notice how his picks center around the theme of "control."

Way off base there Willy. My point was that he was ripping the OP for paying homage to Kirk Douglas. I still have no idea who Sean is. Is he the OP? You got me but I don't appreciate his comments about "old guys who haven't died yet". To me that's disrespectful. Sean? Who the hell is Sean? I have enormous respect for Kirk.

Who's Sean? Man, Sean is the whole GD problem. Sorry. Sean entices kids with friendly safe drones.

I didn't think Dig was ripping Kirk at all. Sorry man. Maybe I'm missing something

Sean is the backstory here. obviously more important. so you UK82, surely you don't think its ok to fly drones around spying on young catholic kids do ya? or disregarding those who identify as catholic as inferior? i surely hope not. because Sean, well he just might.

and Kirk is like 100 yrs old, he had his time. never thought ole Zeta Jones was that hot anyway. specially after he laid his bag of bones on it.

No Doubt brother!

For the record, I totally agree. We are all are Wildcat brotherhood.

Look, I got 3 daughters. One thing I do know. My girls are scared of men with drones. Literally had my 3 yr old cry.

Still not sure what drones have to do with Kirk Douglas but maybe I'm missing something. I hope your daughters have a great Christmas! Drones again? What am I missing? I thought we were talking about Kirk. hahaha Hey I'm pushing 60 so my mind's not as alert as it used to be.

No worries about that. That's awesome thing about the scroll. You can always scroll up for reference. It remembers. LOL I've had to use it

Taking my girls to Disney. They wanna do Disney Christmas. I hope you have some type of plan for drone breach of privacy against you.

Thanks. We live about 3 miles from Disney. It's pretty cool. My wife picks up our older daughters from soccer practice and I usually meet them at the Parks. Great thing about having an annual pass.

But just wanna say to watch out for drones. They make them now so that they fly as high as airplanes so you don't know if a drone enthusiast is someone like Sean is recording video of your family.

Thanks for the backup. Not sure what Digs deal is. Apparently someone took a hot, steaming $h!t in his cheerios and he feels the need to lash out about it by attacking a thread honoring a guy who managed to hit 100 years old despite living through the hard drinking and heavy smoking golden age of Hollywood.

Genetics. Gotta be. Like these tobacco farmers who live to be 162 and smoking since age fetus

I was born a helluva lot earlier that 1990 pal, but I'm still able to call a ******** thread a ******** thread when I see one.

Look, we've got enough junk threads/posts cluttering the Paddock as it is and we sure as hell don't need any more -- especially when they're about some GD Hollywood B-List actor not dying.

You realize that 90 of the male stars from Douglas's era were homos on the down-low, right? There's no telling how many richards Richard Burton slurped to get his roles, but yeah, let's waste bandwidth wishing happy birthday to one of em who didn't die from AIDS.
