Derrick Rose will try to revitalize his career and the Knicks franchise at the same time.

In a stunning pre-draft move, the Knicks acquired the former MVP from the Bulls along with guard Justin Holiday and a 2017 second-round pick, according to multiple reports. The Knicks are sending Robin Lopez, Jerian Grant and Jose Calderon back to Chicago in the deal.

Rose was once one of the top few players in the league before tearing his ACL in the 2012 postseason. The 27-year-old has suffered multiple leg injuries, limiting him to 127 games over his past three seasons.

Look out 8th place!!!! Would be hilarious if they rolled the Bulls every time they played, though.

Unless his contract is about up so that they can dump him and wanted to move some cap room off their roster I don't see how that is a smart move. Rose' best days are way behind him.

he is a free agent after next year. so yea, if he plays back to or close to his potential, they may have something, otherwise, they can dump after next year and cleared more cap space.

I didn't post it but many did.

I don't follow any basketball stuff on Twitter outside of UK. Not surprised that the joke wasn't that original or clever. [laughing]

Anyways, as for the topic, it's worth the gamble for the Knicks. They will be better and if it doesn't work out, it's one year so who cares? Wish Rose would be back to his old self though
