I'm sure some of you may have missed a request from Koala22 to send a former great coach a birthday card on Feb 22nd or was it the 28th? The post was pretty much lost in a mega thread below.

Coach Bill, when you were coaching our team, I was in high school. I listened to the OU games on the transistor radio. Yeah, it was that long ago. I was actually a OSU fan in my early days. I wanted to be Walt Garrison, Beech Nut and all. I swung over to the Sooners because of one player and that was Steve Owens.
How I wanted to run into a line like he did, but just didn't have the talent. The high school I went to had what I would call some sports geeks. We talked all kind of sports. Who was better, Bill Russell or Wilt the Stilt. Jerry Rhome and Howard Twilley. We discussed it all.

Yes we talked OU football and all the great teams and coaches of that era. You were one of them. You probably have no idea the effect you had on young minds in those days. For this I salute you.

I hear you're not in good health and I'm terribly sorry. Get well Coach and make Plano run down to the corner store to get you some Beech Nut...............HA!

Anyways.......Happy early Birthday Sir and many more...............

I'm adding to an exisitng thread w/ follow up as to why you didn't see a good, quality post. I'm allowed to do this as a poster. Your denial is an ugly thing. You're soo blind by your own hate, antics, and behavior you couldn't even see a quality post from someone that you complained that others were being rude to. It's your M.O. It's a start. But not enough. If you don't think you've done something wrong, then your asking for forgiveness is empty. You refuse to accept facts Plaino. I do not & have not supported anything that Yankee & BW has posted regarding you and/or any subject for that matter. When you come to the table with sincerity, I'll do the same. Thank you so much for posting this. I am hoping that he will get many cards. His birthday is 2/28 but an early card would be wonderful. I will print your message for him. Just trying to fill up his mailbox for a surprise.

I leave it with this. I don't believe I have to agree with you to ask for your forgiveness. It's not about not claiming any wrong. I screwed up. I agreed to that. But you've been just as hurtful of me here for a long time. I didn't bring that up, because in my view, that would have negated the request for forgiveness.

You accused me of lying when I don't believe I have. You accused me of hating when I know that's not true. It would be dishonest to tell you I agree with your accusations, when I don't. But that's not an attempt to condone my sinful behavior. If you can't accept my request for forgiveness in a sense of contriteness, then I can't change that. But I will try to treat your honorably in the future.

Because I'm a sinner, and grateful for His grace in understanding that, I can ask. It doesn't mean I won't screw it up again.
