Never been a huge fan but invite him in to do the "Y" sometime! We are the "IT" program so why not?

Good thing that the Lakers seem to have moved on from the "Whatever Kobe wants, Kobe gets" business model.

not bad when you have kobe, lebron, rose, wall, davis, cousins, basically a whole all-star team, endorsing you . cal has famous friends. and that can't hurt recruiting lol. interesting how lebron and kobe are probably the two best players of the modern era that didn't go to college, and they both like cal. then he has all the one year players like rose, wall, knight etc. and then his great development guys like wcs, jorts, pat, liggins etc. he really develops all stages of players, and very quickly. we are so very lucky he is lexington.

Well, he is 36, recuperating from his third major injury in 2 years, and on the verge of retirement. So yeah, it's pretty natural to not give him whatever he wants.

Well, he can come down to KY and help develop our guards.

Just let go of lakers. They are done and management $ucks.

I bet UK guys will practice harder than the Lakers' guard.

I think you guys are perhaps overstating the importance of having guys like Kobe and LeBron in Cal's corner. The "it" factor doesn't really matter. The real reason we get all of these highly rated recruits is two-fold: shoe-runners, and bags of cash. True story - I keep reading that on rival boards.....

Kobe has two daughters. So if anything they will be playing for the Lady Cats!

Selfishly I've always hoped the best basketball players in the world would have sons. It sucks that MJ's kids didn't pan out.

He did have a younger brother that played at UK. They called him the blue mamba James young.

Charles Barkley isn't a Kentucky fan, but he really likes coach Cal..... It's because that Cal is a players first coach.... It's because he wins and still builds players ready for the NBA after their first year.... This one and done theory hasn't been perfected anywhere else, except at Kentucky.....

Well, Kobe plays in LA so maybe when he said "Cal" he meant the Cal Golden Bears?

I swear I crack myself up sometimes...
