Tcu is the team to beat in this conference, not Baylor. They will beat OSU by 3 tds. Watch
Mike, I think you might be right, especially because the Frogs hosts Baylor. But I don't think last night is an indication of an easy win for the Sooners in eight days.
I suspect Baylor wasn't quite as excited to play last night as they will be next week. My guess is that their frosh quarterback does a little better at home than on the road. They got their best defender back last night, and he'll be better physically nine days rested. He wasn't nearly as explosive last night. I can't even remember 75's name, but he is a terrific playmaker. We found out last night that he'll never make it as a pass defender, but he seldom needs to. Ah, Andrew Billings.
Ever remember one of those guys who dominates against average or below average opponents, but kind of disappears when the player he lines up against can play too? I think that might define Shawn Oakman, the cheap shot artist. I guess we'll find out which category of opponent OUr young tackles fit into at this stage of their careers.
Baylor's receivers dropped a lot of balls last night. Stiff wind? Lack of concentration? Looking ahead? Or maybe just not as sure handed when covered decently. We do have a little matter to contend with tomorrow night first.
I would be very nice to give them their first loss in their new place. I'm feeling more confident about that as of this moment. But I dang sure ain't picking any blowouts. I'd confess that the last time I had a discussion like this was when Bullmarket was here in 2000 telling us all that the Sooners were going to blow out Texas, and I tried to logically explain to him that it wasn't going to happen. So I have been wrong before.
