Kudos to The Public Enemy

Just wanted to give props to The Public Enemy for his quality UofL representation on the UK boards. I know first hand how challenging it is to represent the UofL perspective over there in a manner that allows you to keep representing UofL (not get banned) while encountering perisistent attacks to yourself and our program. You do a great job of providing facts to the vast amount of misinformation circulated, as well as provide a positive UofL perspective in the face of a lot of negative opinions. I, for one, read and appreciate what you do over there. Thanks.

Edit: My post isn't about "giving it to the UK fans/program" at all. I don't think TPE does that. And he wouldn't (and shouldn't) last long if he did. It's about him providing and expressing a UofL perspective in a positive and informative manner.

I also provided them with facts in my only appearance over there and got blacklisted

Maybe it was due to my Handle.:)

Ive read their boards for 15 years.

Ive noticed that for Cards fans to post over there, one must take a shot(s) at Louisville.
100% defense will get you banned.

Its a bitter arch rivalry, so i dont expect love from them, however their hypocrisy, crossing the lines by taking personal shots at players, coaches, and administration, and skewed opinions makes them unbearable.

And posting over ther accomplishes what? That you take abuse well?

No thanks.

Accomplish? I don't think I've ever seen anybody accomplish anything by posting on a message board. I have seen certain posters articulate their opinions well, in a respectable manner, and be able to provide substance to support their thoughts. In other words, represent and express their UofL perspective well. I respect that ability, and I respect TPE's ability to do that, in an often hostile environment. That's what I wanted to express, my respect for his posting style and ability. But no, I don't think he accomplishes anything in doing so...anymore than anybody accomplishes anything in posting anywhere...on their own board or elsewhere. It has nothing to do with getting the best of a rival on a message board (that's not my thing), my comment has everything to do with representing your own program well...which I feel TPE does.

I don't get abused for the simple fact I take nothing personal...the only thing I do is respond with pure facts...some can handle it....some can't ...Im known as "Mr. Passive Aggressive"...from some of them

Thank you Steelers-(from this Cowboys Fan...lol) I can engage in a good debate...when personal insults come just laugh....simple reason if ppl met me in person I know they would not say it...I'm pretty athletically built...lol

Also, as you noted ...I never take shots at any program including Kentucky either here or on their board...I'm Pro Louisville but will give credit to a rival when it is due.

God, if you go over there now, you'd think they were going to the damn super bowl. They even keep saying tax slayer bowl, with (gator bowl) in parenthesis, as it seems to make it more important to them or something.

It's days like now that you realize how far down their program is. I mean the tax slayer bowl or something similar is literally our minimum in our eyes, and quite frankly a disapppintment. Yet they act like they are about to face the Patriots for the trophy.

The only thing I find funny is some of them see no difference between Stephen Johnson and Lamar Jackson...that is pure comedy...

I enjoy most of the posters here incl. TPE. But I assure you it's not because of how well they post on an LPT site that I'm prevented from reading anyway.

My preference is that U of L fans enjoy the misery of LPT fans which, in essence, doesn't require posting privileges. You can't reason with idiots, so posting on an LPT site is sorta irrelevant anyway.

But if that's your thing, knock yourself out. I hope someone besides Steelers appreciates it...

As someone who interacts with TPE on the cats board, I respect his opinions and approach even when I don't agree with his opinions.
As far as the difference between Jackson and Johnson at QB, in talking about go forward talent, I DID say the only positions I'd trade UL verses UK players going forward was at QB and Punter. And I mentioned the gap between QB's wasn't as big as previously thought prior to the last game. Johnson isn't close to Jackson(who is a once in a generation player a la Vick) but he passed better than I thought possible against UL. IF that is his new normal then johnson closed the gap from the grand Canyon to the ohio river.

Not to change the subject, but I'm curious what position group you would trade from UL and UK next year?

I guess you would also take UK's Corners going forward over Super Sophomore Jaire Alexander who is rated the top cover Cornerback in College Football by NFL scouts.

Congrats on the upset.

Well you guys carry on and fight the good fight.

Most of us can't read it anyway because of banishment.;)

Nah, this guy has been out of the "fight" game for a long time. I stopped posting over there, for the most part, when I became a mod here. I've also tried to stay out of any heated debates or controversial topics here or there as well since becoming a mod.

Sometimes you have to let things slid....over here and over there...going to be interesting tomorrow when the Bowl bids come out....now got to see if Clemson holds onto their slim lead.

Easy, Offensive line. There's is pretty good, ours sucks.

I would swap the UK interior OL and Westry for Washington. Like Jones but if Young is fully recovered and Hearns is back...still with those two...also, Conrad at TE and of course Snell next year at RB.

Not to change the subject but I think Colin Wilson will be pretty good next year. We may be ok at running back if we add another RB as well.

Alexander is a stud and is definitely the top corner on either team. Especially do when you include his to return skills. But as far as the corner position group goes...I think I would take Westry and Baity as a pair over Alexander and Washington. We also have two young freshman corners that were very highly recruited as second string going forward. I include that on the ovreal position comparison. But Alexander is the best

Hearns and Thomas are a couple of good linebackers and Young was very good when injured. If he returns to form post serious injury that would be big. I still would consider Jones the best of the group and like our two Oside backers very much as only sophmores. Overall LB is a push IF Young is the same and Hearns comes back.
I think Bailey is probaby the best DLman overall but both squads have some questions there. Push

No rational U.K. Fan thinks Johnson is better then Jackson. But he is a solid quarterback and outplayed lj in the governors cup.

I think we're better at offensive line, tight end, and running back. Receivers are pretty close.

You'll find out that it's your OC that's responsible for your offense. I'm hoping the guy gets a shot at a HC job he wants like WKU. Then Stupes can go back to micro-managing the offense.
