Don't know how to post link, but ESPN has called KY biggest underachievers in college hoops. That should ruffle some Rupps!

I'll bet!No problem. The comment section is already getting heated.
I disagree with Kentucky here. They had one terrible year after their natty but they still have four final fours and a championship in 5 years. Cmon.
What about Kansas? Or Arizona?
This article just wreaks of trying to get clicks
Especially Kansas, I agree.I'm with you. I'd love for Duke to have had that same success the past 6 years. I'll take the two titles all day, but we've had some underachieving squads as well. I'd say Kansas and UCLA have done FAR less with comparable talent.

I think those cases are different. I think its clear it was a jab at K. This story just doesn't add up.

UK still has the raw talent to be very good. But, they are literally only returning two consistent rotation players from last year's team (Briscoe, Willis) -- and really only 1 returning guy (Briscoe) who has the talent-level to be much more than a nice backup at a high-level program. For a program like UK, which often has more 5*s on the bench than some conferences, next year's team really doesn't have the depth of experienced talent that you'd expect from them. Maybe the freshmen are good enough to paper over that. But, as good as Cal as been with freshmen, next year's UK team is going to be extremely young by even their own standards. If you look at their best teams under Cal., really only 09-10 was anywhere close to as young -- but even that team had a Jr. Patrick Patterson (a solid rotation player on an NBA playoff team) + the unusual benefit of clearly having the top 2 talents in that year's class (Wall, Cousins).
Yeah...about that...I like this new thread over at RR: IS UK preseason #1 with Briscoe?
Then reality sets in with this comment:
"No offense, but a returning guard who shot 13.5% from three is absolutely not going to make us PS1."
I saw that thread and my first thought was "yeah ok" then when I saw that comment I had to laugh because it shows that there are at least some sane posters on RR.I like this new thread over at RR: IS UK preseason #1 with Briscoe?

PAUSE!In a hypothetical match up with us, that'd put Monk on Tatum? Wow, give me those 6 inches all day.
RU Serious? Who the heck does he think he is? Kobe? Go play...period.I'm sure that's why. If he went to the NBA, he was going to have a stipulation that only teams out West can draft him.
No prob.Sorry, Will. I'm guessing my sarcasm didn't come out enough.
I'm saying that he wanted to go to the NBA, where he can't choose what part of the country he's living in. Yet, he says he's transferring out West to be close to family. There's no way that's the main reason he's transferring.
Actually UK fans loved Briscoe last season. Yes, it drove us nuts that he couldn;t shoot on the wing or FT's, but he can play. He takes the ball to the rm like a beast. He is a lockdown defender, he rebounds well and provides leadershi/ He is a key component to nest season team. If he shot well last season he would have easily been a first round pickNah they're going to go 40-0 and get #9 this season, Briscoe just came back. LOL! The kid who made about 5% of his free throws and can't hit the broad side of a barn, has returned to Lexington. They actually think Briscoe is like the key component to their team winning it all when just last year they dogged on him the entire season.
