A USC friend of mine out in LA told me the USC AD stated the deal was done after the BU game. Said it was in one of the LA Times articles. Haven’t found it yet but there are plenty of stories to go through.

no doubt this was what Riley was up to when he missed a days leading up to that game. Guess he was waiting until that 2 week bye period. Riley has lost all credibility and integrity
Riley is a snake. The worst kind. Makes sense the Sooners weren't getting the coaching they signed up for!
Riley will be less than pleased with the fan support he will get in LA. On the left coast it truly just means less. College football is not in their DNA.

I already knew Riley would lie his butt off, but now I'm also hearing that he apparently got the big head and treated people badly. I guess that aww shucks persona was all an act.

I can fully attest as an inhabitant of LA.... LA does not care about college football. I've been here 6 years and can't tell you the state of football for either UCLA or USC over any of those years. There's literally almost zero chatter or publicity about the programs at all. You don't see any gear, and you don't have any water-cooler chat. They're as good as a highschool program around here.
I think Notre Dame pimps USC out more than anyone including USC grads. Notre Dame needs USC to be relevant every year.

The more I think about it, the more shady Lincoln comes off. He didn't lie about LSU, but he sure as he'll didn't tell the whole truth.
Riley may just win big at USC because you can bet they will throw those $$$ around just like they did in the Carrol era. In 2-3 years time every player at USC will be getting paid.
I really think that he'll eventually flame out. Looking back at his stay at OU, his teams ever so slightly got progressively worse. From play-offs, to Big 12 title game only to finally no title game at all. The energy that he's bringing to the USC program will be good and positive for awhile. But he has struggled to win his biggest games each season at OU. That trend will most likely follow him. Eventually he'll get the program in trouble as did Pete Carrol and then head to the NFL.
