I got two sixers of Little Sumpin Sumpin. Primos, at 91st & Yale in Tulsa had that, Sucks (Brown Shugga Substitute) Ale, Pils and IPA. I believe those are the only ones they are selling in OK at this time.

Sucks is different an awesome.

If the rumored Oskar Blues happens ... Oklahoma may finally crawl out of the dark ages. Well ... Guess we are getting close already. Need to revamp the archaic liquor laws and break up the cartel that controls distribution.

I asked at Odell last week and they don't have plans to hit OK anytime soon. When they went to Texas that changed everything volume wise and they have very little excess capacity.

Yeah and they really don't want to expand, as they think it will impact quality. Fortunately, you can get it all around us. I was buying it at Robs world of beers in Wichita.

I've got a buddy who is going to Missouri next week and bringing back a case of Brombeere, along with some Bell's Two Hearted.

I'm heading to Michigan for a week vacation here in a few weeks. We have a place in Western Michigan on the lake. If we have a rainy day I may head over to Grand Rapids and visit Founders. I actually had plans at stopping at a couple different places on the way up, but we had some plans change and our route has changed a bit.

Go to Brewery Vivant in GR. How far north will you be? Great places near the lakefront from Holland to the south: New Holland in Holland, Virtue Cider near Fennville (east of Saugatuck), Green Bush in Sawyer. There's an excellent peach and berry farm near Virtue. Earl's, stuff fresh from the harvest, pies, etc. Peak season! Love that country.

I'm staying 5 days in Grand Rapids and going to the Central Michigan game in Sept.

We will be quite a bit North of Holland. We generally stop in Holland for lunch before we get to our place which is about 90 minutes or so further north. The wife and I absolutely love Holland...we've looked at moving there at some point.

Can we get Oskar Blues now? If so, any Tulsa area spots? Thanks in advance!

Tell me about Oskar Blues. I've never had it. What's good and if you could compare to something...

It's everyone's pint night in OKC this week
In Tulsa too.

If you like an Imperial Stout, their Ten Fidy is difficult to top. Old Chub is similar to 90 Shilling. Dale's Pale Ale is their flagship; it's an easy drinking American Pale ale. That's all I've had of their beers. I love Ten Fidy (it's 10.5% ABV, hence the name).

They have always done cans, which is now becoming a thing in the craft beer industry, since cans are now produced that don't alter the taste much.

I met the founder of Oskar Blues at the GABF about a decade ago. He was a pretty cool guy.

Whilst tracking down some Oskar Blues today I finally landed one of these: http://www.ommegang.com/blog/meet-lovely-dark-and-deep/

It's a new winter oatmeal stout Ommegang introduced last winter. Even though the brewery showed it had shipped to their distributor here in Tulsa I could never find it, no one at any of my go to beer stores had heard of it, and I even checked with the distributor. I found it today as 2/8 of an Ommegang variety pack.

I also picked up an Oskar Bkues variety pack and sone Old Chubb.
